Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesJust a flag that I'm not sure how they do hotel-star ratings in Colombia, but this is not a US "5-star" stay as listed on booking.com - it is more like a farm stay. I LOVED it here, but I just don't want people coming here thinking spa, amenities, room service, etc. You receive the basics (bar of soap, shampoo no conditioner, etc) - everything I needed but just want to flag to folks looking for luxury stay that this is rustic but LOVELY
Believe all the reviews about Diego - he is pure magic! I loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee and chatting with him. The property is rich with culture and history (his grandparents pictured on the wall! the chest they brought all their belongings in in the courtyard!) - you feel like you are entering a special place when you're at this property. I didn't do the horses, but he did help organize a coffee tour for me and one of the public transports to pick me up at the end of the driveway to do Cocora Valley Hike. I've never felt cooler then when it pulled over, and I hopped on back like a local. I slept incredibly well here - comfortable bed, blackout shutters, but it is a farm so you will hear roosters and activity in the morning! I loved lounging in the hammock and watching the sunset light up the valley. The food was great, and there is also a very famous restaurant (Donde Laurita - get the frozen lemonade) a 5 min walk down the road. Cannot wait to come back here and bring my parents!

LithuaniaThe location is about 2km from Salento. You can walk to/from the town, but it is not fun at all-the road is very narrow, with a lot of curves and traffic. It means-each time you will need a taxi (to Salento, to Cocora Valley, to coffee farm, etc.) which is incredibly expensive.
We liked the staff-especially thanks to Jenny and Sandra. The house is old and very traditional.

United KingdomAmazing location in the valley and only a short car journey to Salento (20 mins walking). The room was spacious and clean and had everything we could want. The property has an incredible terrace overlooking the horses and mountains and was a lovely place to sit and have a delicious breakfast. Diego and all of the staff were fantastic - so friendly and helpful. The horse ride was a particular highlight and will be an unforgettable experience. We rode up through the mountains, guided by Diego, to see incredible views and to learn about the Colombian landscape. We didn’t come across anyone else on the whole 4 hour ride - it felt very authentic. This was only my second time riding a horse and I felt very comfortable as the horses are so calm and well trained. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Staying on Don Diego’s farm is a truly unique experience. He is a kind and caring man, completely devoted to preserving his 750 acres of land (50 % rain forest including wax palms) that has been passed down over five generations. The farm house is beautiful and authentic, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Don Diego can connect you with a driver and with other experiences in the Cocora Valley so make sure to contact him about experiences well before you arrive. The four-hour horseback ride is OUTSTANDING, including a glass of wine at the top of the mountain. I am so grateful for our stay at the Reserva Guadalajara, the highlight of our trip to Colombia.

AustraliaConsidering the distance ( by walk) from the city centre I would rather have a small fridge in the bedroom to keep my drinks cold at night.
From the beginning the experience with Diego was straight forward, welcoming & concise in all aspects, just how we like! He knew we were arriving late and he left clear instructions to get to our room that made the process super easy! We did the horse riding and it was fantastic, literally very enjoyable, challenging and exiting in every way. The breakfast was very local, natural, delicious and generous. Jenny and all the team were kind and paid attention to small details which made us feel well taken care of. Arriving to Reserva Guadalajara from Salento center is an easy stroll and the good part is that it is away from all the noise from tourists.

Our stay at Reserva Guadalajara was so great. We enjoyed every second of it. Diego and his staff were very Kind and supported us in all regards. Additionally the breakfast and Dinner was really good. We also booked the horse ride with Diego in which we did not only enjoy the nature, views and wine but also learned so much about the nature. The Trip was one of our Columbia Highlights!

AustraliaThe most magical place. Diego is an incredible host and his property is beautiful. We stayed for 3 nights on his beautiful farm and had such a pleasant stay. Could not recommend this place enough! The horse riding tour was fabulous! You can milk the cows and everything to see in this area is close by. Such a peaceful and beautiful place outside of the touristic Salento.

It’s paradise. Don’t expect a big screen in your room or laundry service, but a true, authentic and very comfortable stay at a fantastic place. It’s truly paradise. The staff and owner are very helpful and kind, the beds are great, the atmosphere is wonderful and don’t skip on the horseback ride: once in a lifetime experience. Loved it, PARAISO!

SwitzerlandBeautiful Finca near Salento. We had a great time. Diego & the staff are super friendly. Highlight of our stay: The horseriding tour. This was just the 3rd time for me as a beginner, but I felt very comfortable on my horse (Apollo <3). Everything was so well organized and the views are spectacular. Highly recommended!

United KingdomI would prefer more extensive food options including snacks or light meals as without a car it's hard to find anything nearby.
The horse riding opportunity and to be amongst the farm. I even helped with milking (very badly) was exceptional and created deep and happy memories. Riding in his enormous reserva was unique. Getting up in the morning and finding horses on the driveway waiting to get to their field, is the stuff of dreams.

NorwayReally nice farmstay. The kids got to play with the dogs, two big German Shepards, and be part of the milking of the cows in the morning. We also got to meet the calves and horses that worked on the farm. We also went up to Cocora Valley and rode on horses. Our guide Diego was fantastic, and the horses amazing.
