You get a holiday resort standard paying for a dorm bed. This must have been one of the top price/ quality deals I have ever had in my trip. The dorm beds were big and the rooms very cosy. It is on the riverside and has a beautiful swimming pool. A beautiful natural setting.

Sometimes the internet access did not reach some spots, which is understandable.

Different things about the hostel meet my expectations. Beginning with the environment, and ending with things like the pool and the facilities, I have to say that is a complete place for those who are looking for an escape during the week or an adventure over the weekends.

Bring lots of mosquito repellent and anti histamine cream!

What an amazing place, such a cool vibe here you cannot help but want to stay longer! We booked for 2 nights and stayed 5 and would have stayed longer if we had the time. Loads to do here, the place is close to town but it has a jingle feel ot it. Great pool lovely and cool after a day out. Great music. Free yoga at a high standard. We slept in a tent, super comfy! All staff really helpful and nice. We will be back for longer!!!

Price for the breakfast, very expensive and juice not even included

The wide beds are splendid, rooms were cleaned every day hot water and soap in bathroom, happy hour 2 for price of 1 at the bar. Nice atmosphere, less than 5mins walking from noisy village centre, from hostel is route to the coffee farms, 360degree mountain view point and to cascadad. No need to pass the village first to walk up.

Maybe it is good to mention: if you need good internet this is not a place, but I think it is due to location of Minca.

Honestly it was one of the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Amazing staff, infrastructure, rooms and location. I arrived a little bit sick and the staff made sure that I have everything what I need (The even bought me some medicines in The village and brought me to bed). I loved The pool, the river, all the cute swings and the holiday atmosphere which is there. It is definietly a place for You if you want to meet nice people and relax close to The nature.

I dont know how this hostel has got such a high rating. Ive never given such a low rating before. I loved the outdoor aspect of it but my bed was given away because a dog was on someone elses bed so manager said they could have mine (without even discussing this with me so you can imagine my shock when i came back to someone in my bed). That night the dogs (who were trying to bite people) were jumping on our beds as we tried to sleep. The pool was so dirty and run down looking, there was no water in the showers just little drips, the food wasnt great and it took asking the bar man 4 times and waiting over an hour for a cocktail

Really close to the city but still feels like in the jungle. Big rooms and really nice bathrooms with nice showers! They host many activities like Yoga or a walk to the sunset spot for free! Really liked it here!

It’s not about the accommodation, but bring long light clothes and wear them ;) we saw a lot of people with loads of massive bites and we became victims too. It’s all over Minca though from what I‘ve heard - welcome to nature.

The area of the accommodation is really spacious and you see in different corners their love for detail. We stayed in one of the private huts and it really gave us a nature experience with the exemption of sleeping in a proper bed underneath a mosquito net. The staff was friendly and helpful, the amenities nice and clean, free activities such as yoga and coffee scrub offered. All in all we had a very nice stay without anything missing!

We booked a tent for two and got one small bed and when we tried to change they told us everything was booked out. The tent was also very dirty. You can tell the people working there are mostly volunteers because they were generally unhelpful and not very interested. I wouldn't recommend it. Other places are more authentic.

The location is nice, breakfast is great and the hostel offers loads of activities, of which many are free.

The dampness in the tent. And I had a larger bag the way the lady lead me was over stumps. Best to stick to the paths at night when people have larger bags But everything else fabulous.

Property is incredible. I stayed there twice once in a beautiful baños and the second in a tent. The tent was nice however I’d recommend an additional cover as the rain and moisture build up can make everything feel damp

Room wasn't really clean, nor was the swimming pool. Facilities could use some maintenance, ie half of toilets were out of use. Doors could not close, lights didn't work

Maybe the hot water and pressure could be better as it does get chilly on the evenings and after been in pool. Also it didn't effect me but in one of the dorm rooms they had bed bugs

Great location was surprised on arrival at howuch grounds they were and things to do. Breakfast is nice in the morning and the pool good for chilling in after days out hiking.

The facilities weren’t nice and the overall vibe was off - the wristbands that you had to wear and the experience of the place was not very pleasant or relaxing, and felt a bit like a failed attempt at adult Disney land. During our one night stay, the water stopped working multiple times with no reaction from staff. Our room didn’t have towels and it was difficult to get them. Maybe just not what we were looking for. Also could have been due to our room - it was right off of the kitchen. AC was on but the bathroom had a window with a badly placed screen that was right into the kitchen, which meant the room didn’t quite have true AC and the sounds and smells of the kitchen infiltrated. The only window looked out directly into a table that people sit at and eat at so we didn’t have a window. Generally a depressing set up - but perhaps other rooms are different. The place has potential and there is a real attempt at community building but we were only there for a night so the lack of water and weird layout of the room were what struck us.

Could have been a really peaceful location but the staff would play movies out loud outside so was difficult to just sit and enjoy sounds of nature. We stayed for four nights and no one came to clean our bathroom so we had to approach staff to ask where to throw away our toilet roll and ask for more. Food at the restaurant was expensive and not good and breakfast was really limited - they charge more if you wanted something different and claim it’s at a discounted rate. The only window in our room looked directly into the kitchen so we couldn’t open it.

It's a big place to stay.. There are a lot spots, nice music and the meals are terrific. It has weights to work out in front of the river, which are exceptional.

Bathrooms for the outdoor dorm room/tents could be a little cleaner

This place is massive! It feels like a big sanctuary/oasis by the river in Minca. Great location with a short walk to town centre and there’s two coffee/cacao farms up the road (about a 30 min walk). Heaps of daily activities - yoga, coffee scrub/massage by the river, sound meditations, day trips, and so much more. Lots of different chill out zones, comfy beds (with mosquito nets), big bathrooms, friendly staff, decent food and drinks. Very relaxing vibe and plenty of like-minded travellers to meet. Would recommend staying here!

We took two cabañas (probably the most expensive option) and they were not clean AT ALL. The private bathrooms were awfully dirty and other guests tried to enter the cabañas during the night (anyone can enter, there is free access). The common spaces were also not clean and the swimming pool is quite dirty. Rio Elemento is very humid since it is right next to the river - this means it is noisy (impossible to sleep without earplugs), uncomfortable and we had to wash all of our clothes after two days there. We also found the staff really rude. It took us more than 40 min to do the check in because the lady was just sending WhatsApps. They also were very rude overall (except the staff at the bar/ restaurant) which was disappointing... and despite having cool activities during the day they always start 30 or 40 minutes late because of their lack of internal organisation.

The bar is great, both food and drinks are really good and for a good price. The breakfast was also really good. The bar area is great and the secret spot (natural swimming pool) is amazing. It is quite easy to meet people and the activities they organise during the day are cool.

No towels included No water included, extra 3.000 COP per day They charge you an extra 5% if you pay by card. A lot of hostels don't do that and they just ask to pay that to foreigners... Missing more free activities to create good vibes. The location is not bad, but you have to walk 10' in the dark to the centre if you want to have dinner something different what the hostel offers.
