The photos are not a good representation of what it looks like in real life. it is not in a safe area. the beds are hard. it smells like humidity. it is loud from the cars outside as well as the staff talking and playing music is very loud in the rooms making it impossible to rest. they say the breakfast is included but they charge for milk with the coffee. the server got mad because we asked for another juice. the food was average. it says is located in a privileged area but we did not feel safe walking around that area at all , even the staff told us it’s unsafe to walk back from the walled city later. We had booked 4 nights but left on the second day.

The windows in the room were screwed shut. The rooms look way better in the pictures. The area around the hostel isn't very nice other than the castle.

This really frustrates me, because the place could be so great. There is a nice rooftop terrace but it's not well attended, and, despite that, they play thumping pop music that resonates through the whole building even when there are no customers there, from around 5pm to 1am thu>sat. It's like a party hostel, but with no party. Furthermore, there is no kitchen and no nice space to chill out and meet people with comfortable seating.

Theoretically the location is great: 5 mins to a mall with supermarket and 10 mins to Gethsemani. But be warned, the streets immediately around are sketchy, take taxis at night. The staff are super friendly The AC worked well

The area of the hostel is extremely dangerous I was rob with agression and violence 2 min walk from the hostel. I ended up in the hospital and lost my wallet, cellphone and handbag. This happened at 13h00 so avoid this hostel, taxis are also really hard to find, so better stay inside the old city. The receptionist didn’t mention that it was so dangerous which is a really bad point from Their part, after I got rob I asked them to prevent the new guest but they didn’t do it (I was there when people were asking if walking to the center was fine and they were affirming it) All taxi drivers and locals told us that It was a place to avoid because the neighbourhood was known for all the robberies to tourist that occurred almost daily. We also reserve 3 beds for our group of friends but the staff put us in 3 different rooms. Which doesn’t make sense when traveling with friends. The shared rooms don’t have any kind of ventilation or extraction of the air, it’s super humid and it smells really bad. Also the bathroom is shared by 4 but only cleaned each 3 days so it is super dirty. A dairy cleaning of shared rooms and toilets is a must for a hostel. It was a bad experience from our arrival until the moment that we left. If you don’t want to ruin your holiday please avoid this place

The rooftop has an amazing view but the place where the hostel is, is ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS.

we did a spanish school here and had to get up early in the Morning. the rooftop bar was so loud that it seemed as we were in the middle of the bar, which was not great at all if you need to get up early. the hostel mentioned nowhere that it is a party hostel so therefore not a great experience

Everything. DO NOT STAY HERE. Music was blaring until 4am, we had no prior notice there would be extremely late parties. Even at the hostel we asked how long it would go on for and the receptionist lied and said 2am. It was so bad that we checked out straight away in the morning even though we had paid for an extra two nights. The location was also very dodgy and the room smelled damp and old. We requested a refund the next morning for the two nights not stayed and they would not give us one. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. Avoid at all costs.

The room has a window but can’t be opened. The place is not really a hostel. There are no activities and no common areas except for the rooftop. It’s more a hotel. If you’re coming to Cartagena to meet new people don’t stay here. Overall it’s a nice place to stay for a night.

Wifi was unstable. Room was not really clean. Hostel is located in a busy street. Would not recommend going outside in the afternoon/night.

Don't eat breakfast there is awful, one of the receptionists was drinking when I arrived, also he was vulgar. All other staff is ok, just stay away from food and the rooftop, there is a lot of noise, not only from the cars but also from the music, I was lucky it was raining but we didn't get to sleep at all, there was nobody in the rooftop and still the music was loud.

it's near a lot of places, Gethsemani its walkable from there same as other attractions, its cheap and it is clean, bathrooms are alright.

The description of this property is not accurate. This is not a hostel but more like club with rooms to get some sleep. We were incredibly disappointed and frustrated to find out that the music and the people visiting the rooftop bar wouldn’t cease making noise until 3 am. It was impossible to fall asleep and it felt like the music was right in our room. Completely disrespectful and misleading, wouldn’t recommend staying at this place if you want to sleep.
