To much noise in the property

We had a rental car so we didn't have any issue accessing the hotel but if you don't have a rental car or come as a part of a tour then it is very difficult to do anything outside of the hotel. There is no ride share app available in the area and I've heard that the local tuk tuks are reluctant to take people because of the condition of the road leading to the hotel.

The location is beautiful! It's right on the lake with fantastic views and is in a quiet location. We rented kayaks and spent a few hours floating on the lake and had drinks from the bar in the evening. The staff was accommodating and friendly and there were even a few friendly dogs that live on the property. Honestly, there was nothing we disliked about the property.

After we did the reservation, the hostel send us a messege that we have to pay a deposite of 300.000 cop each. Just beacuse we are israelies!! Although we didnt do anything!! This is very rude and racist to do such thing! I hope they will change that and untill than i think no one should go there. Very bad expiriance... At least if youre doing this wrong act let us know before we make the resevation

Right on this gorgeous lake, with lots of chilling spots- sun beds, hammocks etc. We got a beautiful family room with stunning views to the water. You can also rent kayaks and jet ski. There is a great games room, with ping pong, pool table, lots of card and board games and a huge tv. Also a very nice restaurant, and good breakfast. And very good value for money.

The noise. The location (had to wait 30 minutes for taxi back to the city). The hotel collect some weird deposit of 300, 000 COP. In check-in.

We stayed here 2 nights and barely slept for 2 nights. There is no sound insulation and its like trying to sleep in a bar.

the manager was terrible, rude with a big ego. wanted to charge us to sit at the property for an extra two hours. the servers were terrible. I imagine the manager stresses everyone out. you can hear everything in the room. the courtyard is an echo chamber. if anyone is talking, which everyone of course is, you can hear it in the room. they need to update the game room. pool table is destroyed.

To noisy at night. went to bed at 8pm and it was almost impossible to sleep. there was people screaming and no one fm the hotel seems to care. Beside all that the hotel is not bad

We chose this property because it was outside of Guatape and our hope was that it would be a quiet and relaxing place as a result (we heard Guatape could get loud); this was far from the experience. If you want to stay up late hanging out and partying with others, this is a great location. But for us, we had read reviews about it being a “calm place” and we were looking forward to that. The reality was people yelling, slamming doors, playing music loudly, and playing ping pong/billiards/FIFA starting close to 7AM and lasting until after 11PM every day. After 11PM, I believe that the bar and gaming area is closed, but there doesn’t seem to be any enforced or encouraged “quiet time” and every night it was loud, one night until after 1AM. As a result, it felt like we lost easy access to the city (it’s about a 15-20 min drive to get there) without any kind of benefit of relaxation. Additionally, it’s a very rough road to reach Soy Local. We managed it in our 2-drive rental, but I would not recommend it. Lastly, on their menu they have 3 breakfast options that are all 18,000 pesos. Breakfast was included in our booking, but on the second day after we ordered and ate our breakfast, we were informed that that particular one wasn’t included (only the Colombian and American options are). This was not written anywhere on the menu, it was listed in the same section as the other 2 breakfasts, and seems silly considering that all of the breakfast choices were listed at the same price. When we brought this up at checkout, we were essentially told “too bad, so sad, you still need to pay”. This was one of the very few experiences where I could not wait to leave.

The location is very beautiful. Several staff members were very kind and accommodating, especially Marisa in the restaurant.

The bed was too hard for me and its a bit hard to find because googlemaps leads you another path, wich dont exist, so we missed the entrance...maybe they can make better/ more signs to find the entrance easyer

The staff is amazing, very friendly, there is free pingpong and billiard, you have your own pier at the lake for relaxing and swimming, they have a bar and a restaurant and laundry, good breakfast included

Staff were really miserable and provided no information, didn’t show us to our room etc. Noise from other guests which went on past midnight and wasn’t at all policed by the hotel staff. And the worst aspect was undoubtedly the food - absolutely awful and given you are remote from restaurants is a big negative.

Nice spot on the lake and clean, tidy rooms with good hot shower.
