There were some hairs on the bed when I arrived. But that was not that bad for me.

The Stuff was very friendly and also the breakfast what you get is nice. You can choose between pancake or arepa. Comes with an egg and banana.

The rooms are very badly soundproofed so depending on which room you have, it might get loud (due to breakfast/common area noise). When it rains only part of the patio can be used and it didn't end up being too social when we were there. The area doesn't have too much to offer, so once you've been to the few nice cafés and restaurants you need to head further out.

This hostel has probably the cleanest kitchen we've ever experienced, simply spotless and well equipped. In general the hostel is really clean. The patio area is really nice. The Wi-Fi reception and speed was really good. When we had issues the staff went out of their way to help us. The beds were super comfortable!

Location is far from any place of interest. The shower section of the bathroom is not private, people could see you from the neck up showering as it gives into the shared terrasse and in front of a shared bathroom too..

Floor was definitely not cleaned in our room, there is no air flow in the room (no window or AC) and it’s a bit stinky there, not nice, very weird size of sheet which should cover 2 people but is like 140x250 cm and can’t really cover two of you properly

Good breakfast. Comfy spaces and well located - get a travel card and you can get everywhere fast and cheap. One night there were some noisy guests. The next morning a member of staff apologised - of course it wasn’t her fault. For me, this is the sign of a great hostel, the staff care. I ended up staying longer because I was so at ease

Cons: saw a small cockroach in the locker area. fans provided in the room, alittle noisy, but couldve done with more ventilation/aircon. it would suck being there in the summer maybe.t hey only had 2 bathrooms. i think currently building more in progress

Pros: good breakfast, helpful staff (tho dont speak much english), near the metro, a 5-10mins walk to the grocery store, has a 24 hour shop opposite that sells chicken/fish fried slices at cheaper than cooking in hostel prices. pretty safe neighbourhood, and the bonus: near a community outdoor free gym/workout area. the people ive met in the hostels are top tiered, as we were able to bond over breakfast/dinner at the community area.. big luggage storage area as well. felt safe as there was a 24 hour reception monitoring who comes thru the door.

I like the vibes and the location. I prefer to stay at this kind of place than stay in noisy El Poblado. The staff are nice too and very helpful. I liked the breakfast - pretty decent with fruits and it's different every morning. There's a restaurant near to the hostel famous for bandeja paisa. The next time I will come back to Medellin. No second thoughts. I will stay again at Spring Hostel

Most travelers didn’t seem to stay for long so there wasn’t much socializing or community biking happening. The bunk beds have privacy curtains but they do not wrap around all sides and the reading lights are very bright which can disturb other ppl in the room. The beds are a bit rickety so you can really feel when someone else on the bunk is moving. Sound travels through the space since windows are needed for ventilation, so it’s good that they maintain quiet hours at night.

Extremely affordable. Staff was always friendly and staffed the desk 24 hours a day. The facilities were so clean which I really appreciated; my linens were spotless and I saw the cleaning person laundering the seat cushions from the common areas. Guests are provided sheets and a blanket upon request, a bath towel but no washcloth, you can also borrow a lock for your locker for free. The provided breakfast was sufficient and there are numerous eateries in walking distance. I highly recommend El Vegano Andante whether you’re vegan or not. The main bus station is one block away.

The staff is very friendly & Helpful. The fact that they have breakfast for so little money included is amazing, and the breakfast menu even changes. The hostel is very clean, and you can watch Netflix for free in the lobby. If you want to do so, you can meet a lot of other solo travelers and make friends.
