- The spa Location: to get there you need to walk up on a hill for 10 minutes depending where is your room. Not the best idea to locate the spa so far away . nobody wants to be out of breath before getting a massage on a vacation. They should move it next to the river. - Food in restaurant: - Breakfast is a la cart and has only few options. - Quality of the food to improve. - Deserts were not so good :( Ice cream is artificial and creamy. They should invest in better quality ice cream and get Real vanilla ice cream. Overall if I could change something to make this hotel be a unique exclusive place, I would invest more in Food menu and quality and move the spa. The rest is perfect.

This is a beautiful designed hotel in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by flowers, plants, birds and the beautiful Don Diego River. The Rooms are amazing I tried both the tree house and the suite and I can recommend both experiences. The hotel has a boat that will take you to a real beach, organized with private sun beds and a bar for hotel guests. The Kayak activity is mind blowing. My private tour with Tyrona with Brian was excellent. He is a very good guide and very knowledgeable. Food is over all good This is a special piece of paradise in heart and once in it, you will not want to leave. Massages are very good. The staff is sweet and friendly. Santiago was amazing. So far I think I will go back to this place often as it is one of my favorite now.

The need some activities options for families with small babies. I did ask a room close to the facilities because I was visiting with my toddler I did request it but when I arrived the gave me the further room from the facilities like restaurant or reception area

Screens in the windows and better seals around doors and windows would be great. I don’t think screens are really a thing in Colombia though.

This property was absolutely breathtaking. Unlike anyplace we’ve stayed before. The privacy of the suites, 2 outdoor sitting areas, the private pool, large bathroom, comfortable bed, delicious restaurant, beautiful, empty beach….we just loved it. The staff was all so kind. Only a few spoke English but that was expected and didn’t result in any issues. (Yay Google translate). I was a bit nervous about only having one restaurant and not necessarily enough choices or availability for meals, but I need to worried. The restaurant was essentially open from 7 AM until nine or maybe a bit later p.m. The menu was surprisingly extensive and every single thing was so delicious. They don’t just have a basic cook there. They definitely have a true chef. My husband was disappointed that he didn’t order a burger sooner because he loved it. The chicken sandwich was delicious. I had Ahi tuna the first night, which was so much I couldn’t even finish it and that never happens! Breakfast was more limited but definitely fine. Prices were very reasonable (at least coming from the states). The River was gorgeous and on our way to and from the beach, the boat driver pulled over to show us an alligator and monkeys in the trees, which was very cool. We were there in part to see some new bird species, and the highlight was definitely spotting the toucan.! if you want to be able to identify the birds that you’re hearing download the Merlin app before you go and then add the Colombia pack free). Also, don’t miss out on a massage or three if you like massages – I regret that I didn’t get one before the last day because I would’ve had one every day if I had known how good and inexpensive it was! This is not a place for anybody with mobility issues. The walkways are beautiful, but are all uneven stone and at least to get up to our room which was the last suite and the spa is at the top of a steep hill.

I decided to make Tewimake the destination of my engagement... so expectations were high, and those expectations were exceeded. The staff could not have been more helpful both before, during, and even after our stay. Special shoutout to Adrian, Jose, and Luis. Before we got there, I coordinated with them for about a month on all the details of the engagement: where'd it be in the hotel, how I'd surprise her, etc. They set up a romantic private dinner and even found a professional photographer to capture the moment. The grounds were stunning, the room was beautiful, the excursions were so fun, and the rest of the staff was so friendly. I have a lot more I could say, but I'd rather not write a novel! Overall, it was well worth it and we're so thankful to Tewimake for helping us have such a memorable engagement.

They are still constructing some villas and since the property is fairly new there are some hiccups maintenance wise, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed right away. They said all construction should be completed by December, but even with it it wasn’t too bad just not ideal.

The privacy of the suites was wonderful and all the staff was exceptional. There is a lot to do and explore regardless of the remoteness of the area. Having the beach and river are two entirely different experiences and both worth having.

Beautiful location in the middle of the jungle, close to the Don Diego river. In which you can swim, tube and take a boatride to the beach. The room was very nicely decorated, felt like a home away from home. Food was good, massage was perfect, people super friendly. The place is only reachable by boat or the 4 wheel cart that they pick you up in, so don't expect to walk in and out easily to do a lot of other things. But the trips/experiences that they offer are wonderful, so that was enough for us.

The location is unique! The rooms are amazing… your own swimming pool, jacuzzi, open shower, big sofa, amazing nature… The hotel is in the middle of the jungle and can only be reached by boat or ATV. Extraordinary experience and very special hideaway. The staff is super kind and attentive. They are not transactional like in other hotels where every task is in exchange for a tip; at Tewimake there is a genuine willingness to make your experience great and it shows (and that’s why you should tip 😊). Finally, they will accommodate any activity you want to do, and there are plenty!! (Taurina National Park, surf, padel, Etc. All in all, would totally recommend, amazing experience.
