I don't think there's anything that needed to be inmproved. It was already perfect, given the low price and comfort of the stay. The rooftop view is another added bonus. Rare in a big city.

The location was in a very nice, upscale neighbourhood. It took a little bit longer for taxis to come than would have happened elsewhere, but I used a taxi app and it was not a problem. The reception will call a taxi for you if you don't have such an app. Everyone was beyond helpful and kind. Jason and Raul were at reception and the owners were at the hotel most of the time I was there. They did a great job of making me feel at home. There were more facilities than I could possibly have used in my short weekend visit - a pool, a spa, salsa lessons, at least two bars, and a co-working space with fast internet. ASlso laundry and a kitchen, everything well-equipped.

Disliked · It might feel a bit far from the center and other sightseeing spots if you're on foot, but there are supermarkets and a relatively busy area within walking distance.

It's a wonderful hostel with a nice pool, gym, kitchen, dining area, work space, TV and rooftop! It was great to relax as there was barely any other guests. Staff is always kind and willing to help. I would definitely recommend the place to families or couples. Moreover, it's affordable and there's hot water.

The View is a very special place. It has definitely been my favourite hostel in recent months. This was mainly due to the wonderful people who make you feel at home. You get the feeling of being part of the family, of being integrated and getting to know each other, but also of being able to retreat and relax in complete peace and quiet by the pool or on the beautiful roof terrace with a view over Cali. The food is prepared with a lot of love and is excellent. There are also all kinds of spa facilities and even a small gym. I worked online, the internet was great and there were plenty of opportunities to work in peace. The kitchen is also perfectly equipped (there's even an airfryer!). The Parque de los Perros is just a few minutes away and offers many opportunities to go out and eat delicious food. Topa Tolondra is also only a few minutes away by taxi. I also highly recommend the salsa lessons with Miguel! He is an incredible dancer and I learnt a lot! I was always happy and the staff cares a lot about everyone. I was warmly welcomed and got to know wonderful people, for which I am very grateful! I would highly recommend the stay to anyone and am already looking forward to my next visit to Cali, which I will spend in the View without hesitation! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Mattress in my room was the hardest I had slept on in a long time 😔

The location was great and the Hostel was great value. The staff were super attentive including Sandra the owner. I had a great massage while there as well as Salsa lessons. I was also given great suggestions for things to do which made my stay as a solo traveller really good. Definitely felt like part of the family.

Spectacular Costa del Sol Villa with views overlooking the whole of Cali. José goes above and beyond cultivating a welcoming vibe including games, hikes, dancing, and cooking that make it feels like you're among friends and not just staying at a hostel.

I very much enjoyed my stay at The View Hostel & Lounge. The staff was exceptional.  They accommodated my very late arrival, seeing me to my "private room booking" quickly for some much needed sleep.  The breakfast was authentic and tasty.  The facilities are clean and very well kept (daily). The private suite I booked was fully functional, including TV, great air conditioning, clean linens, hot water for the shower, a safe for my valuables and plenty of power outlets. The management and reception went out of their way to provide information about local festivities and sites to visit.  They even provided me access to group Salsa lessons that were very enjoyable, even with my 2 left feet 😁 The View is nestled in the hills with a wonderful overlook of the city from a rooftop balcony.  Though my stay was not long enough to take advantage of, they have a bar and patios offering many refreshments, spa & massage services onsite upon request, along with private Salsa lessons in a basement dance hall.  The pool is a refreshing break to the humidity of Cali, and is well attended to. This is my new go-to place when I am in Cali, and will suggest to any of my friends visiting. I tip my hat to Sandra, manager Jose, Johan & Daniel in reception, and all other staff.  Very warm & friendly. For sure, new amigos & amigas. I didn't like that they charged me an extra fee that wasn't mentioned in the original booking, but I think this could be a tax for Colombian people. The neighborhood is safe and nice but is a little far form the action.

This is a pretty new hostel, with excellent facilities. The pool is great, and it has perfect beds in the shared rooms. Jhoan, the guy in the front, has a great salsa music selection. I have to say this place is going to be one of the greatest hostels in Cali soon.

The location is up on the hill, so those who cannot walk upwards on the hill need to use Uber. The hostel is new so still some of the details could be explained more explicitly. But overall, I can really recommend this hostel to anyone.

This hostel takes the stay in Cali in a new level. The community and people are so friendly and nice, the facilities are top notch. One the best hostel experiences ever.

Everything was perfect

Absolutely everything. So far the best hostel I have been in Colombia. The staff goes an extra mile to ensure you feel like home. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk distance.

It is not really a traveller’s hostel, it’s full of local employees, how’s function is not clear, as we were only 2 tourists while I was there. Some of them where entering my female dorm to show it around to their family, including kids, without knocking or permission. Two out of the tree nights I was there, the owners had a private party with their families and friends, which made it impossible to rest or sleep. Someone recommended me to move to Viajero, and it is completely a different story. My only regret is that I trusted the good reviews, and didn’t book Vijero straight away

The bed was comfortable, bathrooms where in the room. Empty hostel, no other travellers, so if you look to socialise, go to Viajero. Location is good, close to park with lots of restaurants

It's not a hostel, it's more like a cheap, tacky hotel were the owner tries to sell her beauty spa on the rooftop. There was no atmosphere, no vibe when we were there. Almost no other backpackers but more Colombians holidaying. No real communal spaces either. Great parts of the building have a smell of cheap parfum. It's pretty dark as well. One of the worst parts were the two parrots that are kept in a very small cage right next to the pool where the hotel plays reggaeton from the morning on. Both of them are clearly mentally ill already. It was just heartbreaking to see those poor animals suffering in their tiny cage.

The two guys at reception were nice and really tried to help! Beds were comfortable.
