The beds in the 10bed doorm were very comfortable and big :) It felt always clean and the kitchen was also well equipped. In generel a very good hostel, felt comfortable :)

the smell in the bathroom.

The couple that runs the place is Amazing! they Will go that extra mile for you. the location is fine. you can eat with them for 4000 colonnes inclusive a beer. they Will cook for you , And It is absolutly delicious. They offer a lot of tours, And Will take you there or arrange the tour for you.

There's a lot of heart and soul in this place. The Argentinian couple that run it really care and they host events most days for guests to explore the area, meet each other and generally make the most of being in La Fortuna. We had a big private room at the back. There were some emergency repairs happening outside but our hosts made sure we were looked after. Nice homely kitchenand communal dining area.

there is only one shower in the room so it can be busy sometimes.

Laura and Lautaro are really lovely, we wouldn’t have discovered La Fortuna as we did without them. They make you feel like home, the place is really clean and the rooms are really good, they also organise dinner that make a great ambiance in the hostel.

Fan strength in the room wasn’t too strong and the dorm bathroom wastebaskets should be replaced with larger ones. Even though they were regularly replaced with a new bin liner, in the night there seemed to be mounding TP in the shape of a volcano…..

Payment via PayPal became a slight issue with me having to pay additional because the option of family and friends wasn't an option when paying and I could only see business. Payment via a card machine would be easier for guests. Other than that it was a great stay!

The room was clean and nice! The communal area too, it had a friendly atmosphere and was very relaxed. Great location too. They were very helpful with anything we needed and welcoming. Would definitely recommend! Great value.

the bunk beds move a lot, if your on the bottom bunk you’ll get waken up by any movement by the person on the top bunk. no safety cabinets either

Lara and Lautaro were very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable - they have great suggestions for exploring the town (I would recommend the Night Walk Tour to see sloths). The hostel also offers several activities so that people can meet.

The kitchen lacks some utensils but in a way cooking is feasible with what they provide. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner but it was fine.

The location is great - quiet neighborhood but still with walkable distance anywhere. It’s a very small hostel so you easily connect with everyone. The owners know (almost 😉) everything so they’ll provide you with all the information you need. The tours offered were all great and reasonable prices! Would stay again!!

Great place for solo travelers. Lovely young hosts from Argentinia. They organize a lot of activities like pizza night, hot springs, etc. They are around all day and recommend things to do (also for free!). Great atmosphere with music.

Nothing really. The rooms and bathrooms are what you would expect for the price. What makes this place is the location and the people.

Friendly, cheap hostel a few minutes walk from town. The staff were always happy to help and make suggestions about things to do.

we had a lot of problems with our room and the shower facilities which did not work and seemed quite dangerous. We were however given a new upgraded room for the last two nights which was much better. As I said above if it wasn’t for the super friendly staff this place would of got a much lower score. I really hope they over come there starting up issues and a have a great successful business good luck x

No towls and nothing to hang up the clothes. Very easy accomondation. But of course, a hostel. We are about 35 yo, maybe we were just to old for a hostel. If you want an easy amd cheap stay, go for it.

Not many power outlets Not much space for storinf bags - but thats not a big problem

Atmosphere was great, great hosts I spent more nights than i initially planned. Fully equipped kitchen. Free coffee in the morning is a big plus.

Great location. Made really cool world-travelling friends. Ana and Jana, who were helping at the hostel, are trilingual and made my stay very enjoyable. The owners are very kind and helpful, leading by example. There were lots of activities and excursions to do. I would definitely stay here again next time.
