We called and were told the shuttle would be there in 30 minutes. An hour later we called again and were told it was not coming. When we arrived we see the shuttle just waiting with a driver inside doing nothing. The staff was not apologetic and did nothing to compensate for us being misled about the shuttle. They said it did not come, even though it was right there with a driver because we did not make a reservation. Terrible service to lie and not pick guests up when they were able to do so. The pool was too cold to use. I would not choose this hotel again.

Super loud - engine brakes from trucks on the road next door kept everyone awake at night. Hotel is tired and way overpriced for the quality.

When checking-in was told the hotel had an “emergency” on the floor we were scheduled to be in and there were no available rooms. Barcelo arranged for us to go to another hotel; however, the hotel was not comparable to Barcelo. We paid for a room at Barcelo ($180); however, in comparison, the price of a room at the hotel we were sent to was $77. In other words, paid Barcelo price but did not receive a stay at a Barcelo quality hotel. When we joined our tour group the next day, the porter said that Barcelo had overbooked which is why we were sent to another hotel. Throughout our stay at Barcelo with our tour group we saw others experience the same problem. If you are not part of a Caravan tour, it seems that there is a high chance Barcelo will not have a room available despite pre-booking a room. Barcelo is taking advantage of travelers by having them pay for rooms and then sending them to another hotel. in this process, Barcelo makes a significant amount of money ($100 difference in our case) by charging for services that aren’t delivered and lying to customers by telling them they are being provided a room in a comparable hotel.

The property was nice and well maintained. Appreciated the shuttle ride to the hotel and to the hotel we were sent to due to Barcelo being overbooked.

Extended check out would have been nice but the hotel did allow us to use the facilities in the hotel until we left in the evening for our flight.

Ok for a buffet. They had an amazing sushi restaurant within the hotel. It was extra but excellent.

pillow had fresh blood and house keeping never came back to give us another pillow. shower allowed the bathroom floor to flood. room service brought wrong item and never returned. pool closes at 5 pm on a Saturday

There wasn't a thing that didn't meet our expectations.

Dinner and breakfast with our room. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Dinner was excellent and because we arrived late, a wonderful start to our trip.

the staff weren’t helpful, when I checked in there was no information given to me about anything. The room was big but very noisy and I stayed on the premium floor, I called the receptionist twice as my bath didn’t work as was ignored. the premium lounge offers the same food everyday.

The service was great - they followed up with me after I emailed them about the shuttle to make sure I was helped (I was - shuttle picked me up early so I did not have to wait for an hour). Everyone was super helpful and happy to answer my questions. Great options for breakfast! Little far from the city centre but that might be part of the charm!

The staff was rude at the shuttle service and the front desk. The pool was freezing cold and pool bar smelled of deep fried food and did not indicate a 5-star hotel. Only two restaurants open in hotel, a Japanese one and a buffet in a conference hall.

We had a large beautiful suite which we enjoyed very much. The bar staff and the staff of the VIP room, on the 6th floor, were great. We recommend getting a cocktail at the bar.

We booked this hotel because of the shuttle to and from the airport. I had emailed the hotel in advance and was told that the shuttle was from 6am to 6pm. Assumed that shuttle ran every hour during this time period. We checked and and then needed to return our rental car. Concierge refused to send a shuttle to get us, we had to pay $40 for a taxi. Concierge was very argumentative and also told me that they run shuttles 24 hours a day. Because we were told that shuttles run from 6am -6pm, I arranged an outside shuttle. We ended up paying as much for transportation to and from the airport than we did for the room. Very disappointed in their servie.

The room itself was fine. No batteries in the TV remote and the telephone needed to be replaced. Although there were QR codes for room service, you couldn't order through this. You had to call by phone so by the time the phone situation was worked out it was late.
