There was nothing I didn't like!

Great location in the centre of this laid back small surf community. The beach is just a few steps away. Laying on the balcony in the hammock listening to the waves was wonderful. There was a fridge in the room - very useful. The cafe staff and owners are lovely and very helpful.

This was my second visit in two years. 21 wonderful days! It's clean, safe and the staff are very friendly. Café De La Suerte has an excellent menu and a large balcony overlooking the beach. A place that exudes freedom. Even the horses are!

This is our second time staying at Cafe de la Suerte and both times have been so wonderful. Its great for our little family. Its comfortable and the owners and staff are so nice and accomodating. They make you feel right at home.

We had to leave the lights on outside our room which meant we had to pull all the curtains and couldn't let any natural light in. The only thing that could be improved is some way to close the door with out latching it so you can keep the ac in without locking your partner out. We also pulled the double bed away from the wall as there is enough room and this was much nicer than sleeping against the wall. The food at the restaurant was expensive but it was soooo high quality and so delicious that it seems fair. Pavones is remote and you get the very best food, coffee, and smoothies in the world at Cafe de la Suerte. And we had a kitchen and restaurants and supermarkets nearby so we were able to feed ourselves if feeling frugal. It could be a little loud in the evenings but that was due to the fact that we were conveniently located right in the center of town next to all the activity and we had such full days that we were in bed crazy early. There are plenty of remote places in this friendly little town and Cafe Suerte has a little cabin for rent if you want solitude over convienance. Really there is nothing we can complain about and we would love to come back.

The owners were super friendly and helpful and Hadas communicated with me early before the trip and helped connect me to the right locals to help me arrange activities. While we were there she let us know of activities like a little local market. yoga, and parties. We loved having an outdoor kitchen with a private garden space for hanging out. The rooms are super cute and artistically decorated. The location is literally right in the center of everything. You can see the waves from your room and everything you need is right there including board rentals. For those of us that don't surf, the river was very close for swimming and exploring and the town is very small and friendly with lots of public spaces for walking and wildlife watching. The food was amazing and the cappuccinos made by Ron were the best and strongest I have ever had anywhere in the world. I recommend going out on a boat tour if possible. We saw hundreds of spotted dolphins, and whales, and flying fish, and visited an organic farm with Dolphin Quest. It was amazing! We were able to buy fresh tuna right off the boats on the beach. The local people in this small town were very friendly. The owners arranged a private shuttle for us from and to the tiny airport in Golfito. There was an extra outdoor shower and sink which was nice. The kitchen was nice with a full size fridge and even a blender and things like coffee sugar and spices. Hot water.

The location is perfect within a great surf town! The room was spacious, as well as the balcony. The food at the restaurant below is good and the staff is very nice and helpful.

Absolutely nothing!

Excellent room with private patio and kitchen including a refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, utensils, plates, etc. The bathroom was nice and had good hot water in the shower. The hosts/owners were absolutely amazing. Super friendly and kind and very easy to communicate with. They also run a restaurant next to the rooms and the food is superb. The property is in a great location, possibly the best location in all of Pavones. You can easily walk to both the bottom and top points to surf. In fact, you can surf for hours and then easily stop by the room for a quick snack and water break and then continue surfing!

Prices were a bit high for food but it's justifyable.

Did not have breakfast, prices were a little high. The location was perfect, couldn't get any better. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. It was an amazing experience overall.

Hot water in shower sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t, but that’s also just the standard in this area so not really a big deal.

Great location with clean, cute, comfortable room (ceiling fan and AC, nice bedding). The food seems a little pricey at first glance compared to other places around it, BUT the quality of it is so worth it. Everything we had was so fresh, delicious, and homemade. I love casados, but the veggie heavy and flavorful food prepared here was such a welcome dose of taste and nutrition after eating so much rice, beans, and meat. The cafe is closed on Sundays though so keep that in mind when booking. Ran and Hadas were very friendly and accommodating even though we made a last minute booking to stay there. Highly recommend this place!

Off season so the cafe was closed... but I knew that beforehand. I'll catch it the next time!

The location couldn't be any better. Perfect place to check the waves or watch the wild horses play on the beach. Pavones is amazing! This great little place is within walking distance to so many little places to eat; and the food was so great everywhere I went! The beds were comfy and the AC and wifi were great. And also plenty of hot water!. I'll come back for sure!

There is not one bad word I could say about the house. Or the unbelievable knowledge and kindness of Hadas and Ran. And not one bad word of the location it’s close enough to town to walk and because of that it is very private..

Hadas and ran were unbelievable.. they went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. The house is clean, unreal location and so unique. The outdoor bathroom was super cool, and you would never know from the outside. The house is 50 yards to the beach at the end of the wave at pavones. You can literally catch a wave at the point and surf all the way home to casa suerte. I have to say this house made my experience at pavones like I was living there… I look forward to staying here again.

It would be nice to have a small kitchenette in the rooms. I also wasn’t aware the rooms shared a balcony, which was fine bc our group rented the entire upstairs but that is something to take into consideration if you only rent one of the upstairs cabinas. The center can get loud at night as it is where the town comes to gather around the soccer field so that can be something to consider if you’re looking for a more reclusive retreat.

Beautiful location right in the centrum of the municipality! We loved Sylvia’s place for breakfast - dinner! Owners were very helpful, our needs were taken into priority & met. Short walk to the surf break, we were all very pleased.

front door lock was not very secure. sheets and bedspread had holes in them they were clean and smelled good. no glasses for drinks.

location, great view from the balcony. was clean. refrigerator was cold. good size for a mini. well lit. could see and hear scarlet macaws. Oceans views. could hear the waves.
