You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaReally liked how private Casa Mapache was. Loved the idea of being able to make our meals in ' ranchero' they have near the pool. Was a little concerned at first of its location because we didn't have a car, but UBER was excellent. Only 15 minutes into Tamarindo. Our hosts went out way to be helpful, and pool staff worked very hard to keep grounds immaculate. Room was very spacious and large bathroom. No regrets AT ALL with Casa Mapache.

The room was beautiful, the common spaces (kitchen, outdoor area) were beautiful. The pool was perfect! There was so much thought put into this place and everything was so pretty.

The pool and garden is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful to relax in. The shared kitchen is also very nice! The owners are so friendly and kind. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a relaxing stay! We wish we could have stayed longer.

United KingdomWould have preferred a door to the bathrooms rather than just a curtain.
It was so nice to spend a few days in this calm oasis after coming from the busy centre of Tamarindo. Rooms are very spacious and the beds are so comfortable. You have a nice patio area outside the front of each room to relax and listen to the birds and animals outside. The shared kitchen is huge and has everything you would need. Large and secure parking spaces. The owners are a lovely couple who are so welcoming and take the time to get to know you and make sure you are enjoying your stay. They also have lovely little dogs and cats. Merci beaucoup! :)

CanadaThe things I see that need some easy improvement is the partition glass in the shower the calcification on it needs to be look after as well as the chrome fixtures in the bathroom also a privacy curtain by the window, other than that its an awesome place to stay an it will be one of my choices again on my next travel to Costa Rica.
I love that its a gated and once inside its like a little oasis, I love the way the bed was made. The hospitality industry still going trough adversities and post lockdown they are coming up with new ideas that make guess feel more relax and comfortable and easy on the pocket, Ygal as done an excellent job restoring the premises. the wildlife that comes around is a welcome bonus also.
