The food at the restaurant isn’t good. I had to send back an omelet because it was drenched in oil or butter. The sushi isn’t great either (too greasy, too much fried stuff!). Watch out for mangoes falling from the trees onto the rooftops — they make a crazy loud noise!

The Curiol Hotel is a real favorite! It’s located slightly off the beaten path, so it’s not caught up in the craziness of the main street, yet it’s less than a 10-minute walk to the beach. The decor is absolutely stunning! You can easily spend the whole day by the pool under the trees, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The room was very comfortable and had air conditioning. The pool is beautiful! The staff is kind and welcoming.

The breakfast was INCREDIBLE, the food they offer in the restaurant is really delicious. Nacho, Scarlett and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Really cool pool with lights. The place is a 10/10 in general

My only complaint, although the breakfast was delicious, they could do with more variety.

We stayed at the villa for 4 nights and wish we had stayed longer. Simply amazing! It was private, clean, exclusive, tranquil, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Despite this property being in Costa Rica the villa had some Canadian touches which made me feel close to the west coast of Canada. Loved the Costa Rican bird murals too. Would highly recommend staying here. Especially for a week or more. Loved the dinner menu which included sushi which was absolutely delicious. It was also nice waking up to howler monkeys and spotting the odd Iguana wandering or lounging on the property. Overall, Curiol is a special place and it will always be close to my heart. I cannot wait to go back again.

It was lovely. We had the 3 bedroom villa. The restaurant is very good - delicious food and good prices. The location is perfect to explore the nearby beaches. The service was excellent.

Small funky quiet natural boutique hotel. New in 2024. Amazingly integrated into its mature trees and garden. Near beaches, and about 90 minutes to LIR airport. Excellent food and staff. Would return. (Bathroom open to the outside, but that was not an issue for us).

because the bar/restaurant is in the center of the space and the tent lacked sound proofing (i mean its a tent) we really went to sleep at 10pm when the bar closed.

beautiful space, garden is gorgeous and well taken care of. pool is clean, food is good but very pricy. we stayed in the tent, it's nice (spacious and clean) and original but not the best with a kid.

Beautiful property, great location, cool vibe! Wonderful staff, Santiago and Ignacio were so friendly and provided exceptional service. Camping has never been for me but we stayed in a glamping tent and we loved it . It was clean and decorated so nice! It was one of the highlights of our 2 week stay in Costa Rica ! I highly recommend for a unique experience. We Loved everything about this place and plan to stay again when we return to Costa Rica!

The room we were booked to stay in had a strong smell of air freshener which affected my wife. They easily moved us into a flaming tent which was wonderful. They had a special Valentines Day pre fixe dinner which did not appeal to us but they agreed we could order off the regular menu and the good , especially the whole fish was great. Service including the waiter was just right. We really enjoyed our stay.

We have been in apartman and the roof was from one layer of sheet metal. Every scratch of leaf or fall of seed is strongly strengthened. Outside parking.

Very nice area with pool/ restaurant. Friendly staff, very good cuisine. Calm surrounding, but not too far from beaches. Open roof bathroom 🙂.

Small things like a safety deposit box and hooks to hang towels in washroom would make a difference. Also we were told breakfast was free but after ordering the Americano we got charged for it.

Located off the main road just a few blocks away, the vibe here is chill. You’ll enjoy have a tropical setting, with a pool, full bar, a delicious restaurant and lounge sofas to kick back with your friends and family.
