Hot water was hit and miss but no fault of the hotel. Maybe could improve on privacy on the windows in the bedroom neighbouring the other villas - not sure if they were tinted or not but wedged pillows in the reveals which worked.

Really friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom was the main feature.

Good location steps from the beach, cabins well maintained and cleaned everyday, pleasant outdoors. The place is very calm, away from San Teresa center agitation. Access a little bit rough, like everywhere in CR, need a SUV

Kept booking for longer as I loved it so much. As a result stayed in 3 different apartments, all wonderful. The beach is beautiful and the surf is good, although quite a long, tricky paddle out. It’s only 3 mins through a bit of jungle to the beach. Felt very safe for solo female.

Location was perfect and it was nice to have a lot of space in the villa for our family. We loved the pool area and greenery around the hotel which made our stay private and beautiful. The staff was amazing and we felt at home in the Mara villa . King Bed was super comfy and spacious.

There were no hangers in the Amor villa closet and the toilet smelled weird like it was not properly cleaned.

Parking was a little tight. Did have to wait to park car inside but there’s street parking available too. Definitely not a deal breaker.

Concierge was lovely, property is beautiful and walking distance to my favorite surf spot, bed was comfortable and I loved having my own private outdoor space. It self safe and secure with the gate access as well. I also loved the attention to environmentally friendly practices. Power outages are a normal occurrence in this area, just something to expect from time to time, and I loved that the team had a sign of where to get more water, anything we needed while power + WiFi was down.

The kitchen to be better appropriated. The towels they use are in a sad, spotty condition.

The close location to playa Hermosa was the best part of staying in Lua Villas. The second best was the pool. The villas were great. My only recommendation would be for the kitchen to be better supplied include a pan for cooking eggs, fish, etc. A toster oven or microwave. A big pitcher for fresh fruit punches.

We ended up parking on the street our last night because there are only 4 spots inside to park cars, so we just had to walk a little further to load up our car. The only other thing was our bed was a king but 2 twin mattresses put together. Nothing made our trip horrible.... definitely stay again.

The location was perfect, right out of our gate and easy walking distance to amazing beaches. We had security and a remote control to open and shut a gate where we could park our car.

The manager was very very helpful, and the room was excellent along with the pool. It was also walking distance to the beach. Very nice and would recommend to anyone looking for a quite relaxing place to hang out.

Beautifully landscaped. Lovely pool. Nice padded lounge chairs and a social seating area near the pool. The building were all concrete and each unit was hidden from the others by vegetation. So close to the beach, one of the most beautiful in the country. Nice air conditioning. Adequate kitchen facilities. Very nice baths!

Power outage on first day from point of arrival 430pm till 12am. Cooked in dark under candle light. I asked for discount and received nothing. I should at least get 1/2 day rate back....I would of thought. Please Mr/Mrs manager, could you look into this.? Otherwise excellent place....highly recommend.

We had a ground floor room, because of the great and fully grown garden, it feels a bit 'locked in' and dark in the room. Next to that, it was very noisy, we literally heard every step and movement of the people upstairs.

Location is very good, away from santa Teresa, and 5 min walk to the beach. Clean place, very comfy bed, facilities in the room to make your own breakfast. The owner is very very friendly and helpful with tips for food and where to go. Swimming pool is small, but all you need, we were just there for 1 night.

Lua Villas in Costa Rica is really great. The place is full of amazing plants and has a nice pool. The beach nearby is not crowded at all and it's perfect for surfing. You can easily hop in a car and be in Santa Teresa in just a few minutes. It's like a mix of nature, chill vibes, and being close to a cool beach town.
