It was quite noisy early in the mornings as people walk right by your room. Also there was no fan in the bathroom so we found that the room smelt damp and we didn’t want to open the windows because there was no fly screen.

The location was perfect - very close walk to many restaurants and shops. It was also great to have easy parking. The breakfast was very convenient and tasted good too. Staff were also all lovely!

Stayed 2 nights with family of 4. Right in the heart of La Fortuna, walking distance to everything. Breakfast was included and it was delicious.

Furniture is old. Pool is really tiny.

Our stay was OK for one night, we travelled in the peak season (around Easter) so the area was very busy. In my opinion there are many better hotels in the area for a little more money but because of busy season our choices were somewhat limited. There is a small garden.

If looking for fancy or plush rooms this is not it. We were not, so we were satisfied. Door didn’t lock all the way. Shower handle broke off when we turned it on Didn’t feel safe walking back to property after dark

Quite close to a main thoroughfare, therefore quite noisy due to traffic. Hard to get a good night’s sleep.

The rooms were very tired. First key snapped in lock. Drain smell in bathroom. Air con had to be repaired whilst there. Saying that, it’s a reasonably priced hotel in great location and we were only in the rooms to sleep as busy itinerary.

The location of the property is excellent with free parking. The breakfast was good.

Breakfast very average and only allowed one small hot drink. Restaurant staff not very friendly or welcoming. Furnishings a little tired. Poor Wi-Fi connection. The grounds of the hotel are lovely but from the website I was expecting a mountain or river view from our room. We had neither.If you want views like this you would probably need to book one of the hotels on the road out to the lake and Volcano.

Location great if you want to be in the middle of La Fortuna. Reception staff really helpful and welcoming, providing great advice. Cleaning staff also great. Garden and pool really nice. Wonderful spot to have breakfast looking over the rushing river and beautiful birds attracted to the spot.

The rooms are in real need of refurbishment and the breakfast at the hotel is very restricted. There is no atmosphere at the hotel at all. Selina next to it offers much more.

Our room had intermittent water supply- I think the pressure was low, which meant the shower was not very easy to use and we often had no running water in the sink.

Incredible location- room had a great view of the volcano. The garden had a small rainforest area which was really cool to go sloth hunting in, we didn’t see any but we did see a poison dart frog! The bar/ restaurant was lovely and a good price, and the pool was great on a hot day. Staff were all really helpful

The breakfast was dissappointing. When we asked for extra toast we had to pay for it. I also asked for milk for my coffee. I was told they only provided powdered milk. I insisted on milk and was reluctantly given some. I had the same conversation on our second morning. A niggling annoyance as I think milk is a basic and not a luxury!

Very comfortable bed and room. We were given an upgraded room with no extra charge and had a wonderful view of the stunning Arenal Volcano.

breakfast really not great quality - powdered milk for the coffee! so much that we decided to skip it altogether on the last day. some reception staff were lovely, others a bit offish. teeny pool! bar beautiful but sometimes closed too early for an (earlyish) nightcap

The breakfast, I don't understand the other reviews. Food wasn't great, the fruit weren't that good and quantities were si tiny we had to get some pastries from the panadaría next door. Worst breakfast I've had in Costa Rica and Latin america Breakfast only starts at 7, which is really late as things starts much earlier You had to pay for a box breakfast, which I've never encountered before. We didn't do it and as it wasn't worth it and went to the panadería. Please don't call this a free breakfast.

The hotel was centrally located in La fortuna making it easy to walk around and find things we needed and enjoy the restaurants nearby. It was easy to arrive at, and we got picked up from our our tours directly from the lobby. And the front desk was extremely welcoming.

The room needs renovation (the bed is squeezed into a corner, there is a refrigerator next to the headboard…) The room has a potential.

Good and quiet location, a tiny view of Arenal vulcano, very polite receptionist, beautiful garden. They offer us amazing vegan breakfast.
