Communal area for sitting is outside but the benches are a bit hard. there is one sofa inside but you can’t fit many people on it

Katherine was very friendly and helpful with transport bookings and finding us a good price. The communal area was kept clean Well equipped kitchen to cook your meals- one of the best we’ve experienced! Free coffee, cooking oil, salt provided for cooking. Enough tables for eating Location is a short walk from the Main Street, very safe and away from noise.

Stayed as a group of three for 4 nights. Nothing but good things to say about this place. * Location - only a couple of blocks from the parque central meaning you can walk everywhere. Within walking distance to bus station. * Wifi - Worked well and didn’t cut out * Rooms - We were in room 2. The beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Air conditioning worked well. Hot water in the shower worked. * Kitchen - One of the real highlights of this property was its common spaces. Large very well equiped kitchen with two fridges. Four tables to eat at. Small area outside for smokers or people who prefer to be in the sun. Being able to self cater allowed us to save a lot of money. * Value - 38USD a night for a group of three with private bathroom and air conditioning was good value. * Staff friendly - although not located on site at all times was contactable through WhatsApp * Security - bars on our window. Lock on the front door. Deadlock on our door. 24 hour CCTV in common spaces. Overall a great option for budget to mid range travellers.

Everything was perfect.

Great stay!!! Katherine was super helpful, nothing was too much trouble. She’s learning English and did very well at communicating with our Irish friend. She gave us recommendations about the cheapest supermarkets, best local restaurants (Sodas) and things to see. The hostel was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. Absolutely recommend!

The service was exceptional! We arrived late into San Jose as our flight was delayed so we struggled a bit with finding the buses. Anna and Kathryn both helped us by finding the bus schedules and where to get the buses. They were on hand for calls and messages. We left about 5/5.30pm and arrived at 11.30. After arriving, Kathryn gave us some excellent recommendations and for the next couple of days we were able to enjoy some free activities in the hot springs and a nearby river where everyone goes to jump in from a rope.

Wow!♥️ this is one of the best hostels we’ve ever been and we’ve been traveling for almos 6 months. First, Kathy💗🌸 the person who runs the hostel is so incredibly nice, she kept asking how are we and if everything’s okay🦋 she is one of the nicest people we met!! Second, the kitchen is super great and has everything you need including even oil, salt and coffee☕️ Even more than that, the room and the hostel is super clean 🧼 and the room has towels and soap! And for last, the location is incredible, the place is super quite and 5 minutes walk from everything you need♥️ Thank again to KATHY who made our stay not less then AMAZING..

Very comfortable bed. Good a/c, good shower. Great common spaces. One of the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen. Katherine is so kind and helpful. Anything you need, just ask... We really felt like at home!

Katherin was very welcoming and helping us a lot with all our plans. She’s a wonderful person and made our stay great. We laughed a lot :) The hostel is small but so cozy - if you want you can cook in the kitchen or reach the center in few minutes. The area is very quiet and the beds are comfortable. It’s a perfect spot to start several adventure trips.

The room was very very small with no place to put anything. The reception team was very nice but you never know when they'll be at reception which can make it a little hard to get answers (there is a WhatsApp number thought and they've been very available).

Great location, very central to everything but still on a side street to be quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped.

The kitchen area is great if you are backpacking and want to cook your own food. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. This small quiet hostel is in perfect location just a 5 min walk to the bars and restaurants in La Fortuna. I would highly recommend this hostel. It really does live up to its name of a Nice Place!
