The location is pretty dodgy, but fine for a night before catching an early bus at the 7-11 terminal. would not have felt safe walking outside alone though.

Neighbourhood was little bit strange, I didn't see the hostel sign at first, so was wondering around, not the best street for having a walk as a solo woman traveler :)

The rooms on the ground floor don't have a window or only very small one towards the corridor. So no fresh air can come inside and the air in the room is not the best.

Perfect place if you wanns catch a bus from Terminam 7-10 early in the morning. The price is good! Flor, the lady managing the place is very friendly and tries to help you with everything. We had a problem with the bus and she arranged for us to stay another night. Kitchen is clean and well organized.

very close to the bus station to get to Monteverde. the room was pretty spacious. we didn’t feel as unsafe as others have described, but also, it was kinda edgy at night.

Be careful of the men outside the bus station on the other side of the street, they might be very helpful but they might want you to use their service (taxi or so), but there is no need to feel unsafe or so. The room window is facing hallway

The property is very close to a bus terminal, so a lot might go on during the day however it's not noisy at all during the night and I was able to sleep well, staff was a lady who was friendly

Room 3 needs a warning about the step down so you don't fall in. I fell heavily,banged my face and jarred my knee badly. Was lucky I didn't break a bone. The lady was very concerned and helpful, it was not her fault.

Very convenient for bus stations, we used the Caribbean and Central line terminals. The area is not great but we never felt threatened. The communal area is good Don't be put off by the entrance.

Nice big and modern room with comfortable bed and balcony with view over San José. We booked W's Hostel for the second time. It's perfect for one night when you use San José as a busstop on your journey. But with the nice room and nice kitchen I can also imagin to stay longer when you plan to visit San José.

I would not recommend this hotel if you´re not prepared to see some of the more dirty streets in the city. It´s probably not unsafe but I would not stroll around the neighburhood after dark. The inside feels much nicer though.

The location was very good. Be prepared that it is located in a rough neighburhood, but during the day it was ok. It was really close to the big indoor market and really nice veggie markets and cafées. The kitchen was really nice and our room was really spacious. The bed was big, there was a hanging rack for clothes and hot water in the shower. The room was a bit noisy but so were all of our accomodations in Costa Rica. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive! The staff was super friendly.

It’s unfortunate the area has alot of homeless and a few sketchy individuals hanging around but the property is very secure.

As the hostel communicates transparently, it is not in a particularly beautiful location per se. It is intended for travelers that need to get to the bus terminal. For this purpose its great. It's located directly in front of it, the rooms are nice and clean and the staff where kind.

Even though we chose the property by location, we didn't feel good there even during the day. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless migrants verbally harrassing foreigners.

We chose it because of the location, it is right in front of the bus terminal. The price was resonable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Remote check in process was very easy.

- check out (staff does not speak English and doesn't understand a word, so that we had problems with payment) - if you want to go outside, the area feels unsafe since there are a lot of homeless people in front of the door (the owner told us before)

The area outside the hostel around the bus station is the congregation place for a lot of homeless people (I knew this from previous travels and it didn't bother me, but may put some people off), other than that no complaints at all

Loation was great for early morning bus connection and there were local shops and take away restaurants
