Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Czech RepublicPeople are mentioning it - it is like 10 - 15min walk to restaurants or supermarket. We had a car, didn't mind it one bit.
The pool! Is amazing to have a pool after coming back from manuel antonio park (the park closes at 3 pm). The container rooms are quite small but enough for a couple, we had an aircon and didn't mind it at all. The kitchen is well equipped and bonus - you can see animals from the pool (we saw a few ara parrots right from the pool). Very secure parking included with the room. The staff / owner are nearby to help if needed. Wifi is fast and stable

United StatesCould have used some more signage- We stopped at the parking garage but should have been up by the property. Not a big deal but a little sign saying check in ahead would have been helpful.
It was a really cute and unique place. Tere was wonderful and helped us out with check in and explained everything thoroughly. The balcony was wonderful and lots of birds visited in the morning.

FranceA bit hard to find, indications a little tricky but still manageable! Great for a night to disconnect, although it's not really walkable distance from downtown and points of interest Lack of storage place in the room, not a single shelf (but I'm sure it can be fix pretty easily 😀)
Beautiful outdoors, Owners nice and helpful, Right in the middle of the jungle, really feels like out of time and space Bed comfy with fan 👌 Great pictures for Instagram xdddd

New ZealandNot the fault of the hostel at all - but the people in the room next door arrived home from partying at 3am and were talking very loudly and then on the phone until 4:30/5am. The walls are thin so you can hear everything. Like I said, not the accomodations fault but just bring earplugs just in case.
The hostel was great, very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We liked that it was walking distance from town but on the outskirts in thr jungle. We saw mackaws and squirrels in the trees from the pool. The room was comfortable and had AC, the kitchen was well equipped and we loved the pool. We also loved the friendly cat.

Costa RicaMy bathroom was located next to the shared kitchen, and had windows that didn’t close (just screened). So, when other guests were up late chatting, I could hear them quite well. Maybe a noise curfew in common spaces could be helpful.
A wonderful stay. Exceptionally clean. All my questions were responded to very quickly. I was allowed to check in early AND upgraded automatically for free to a lovely room with sliding glass doors & excellent A/C. I got a great recommendation for a seafood restaurant called Sabromar overlooking the ocean for sunset that was NOT priced for foreigners. The family that runs this is very sweet and stored my luggage after checkout so I could go snorkeling before my afternoon bus ride. They even let me shower after I came back to pick up my luggage. The best part of this place is the location, which is a leisurely walk to town, but removed enough from the hustle and bustle that it does in fact feel like a jungle retreat. Thank you!

United StatesI didn’t like that the common area is right outside the rooms so if someone wakes up really early and does anything in kitchen, you can hear everything.
I liked the hosts. They were very friendly and made me feel like I was with family. I liked the pool- it was refreshing after a long, hot day. I really enjoyed the hammocks up on the roof that offered a beautiful, relaxing view in the evening. There is also a tree that a couple of red macaws like to visit every evening to feed on its fruit— it was really cool to witness.

The location just besides the jungle, during the morning you can enjoy monkeys and birds playing on the trees. Tere, the owner of the place and her cousin were so nice to us and answered all our doubts about transportation. The kitchen is a plus because restaurants are quite expensive in the area. The small swimming pool was perfect to enjoy all day long.

United KingdomWe had an issue with the noise on the first night as there were some people there who didn’t follow any of the rules to do with quiet times and were on a hen party. Sadly because of this we didn’t get any sleep which was a shame, we had booked the place because it wasn’t a party hostel and more relaxed. Important to note that the owners were very apologetic over this, they didn’t see on the cameras till the next day but I would say that there needs to be somebody on call as we couldn’t get hold of anybody because it was so late. Also as there are a lot of people sharing the two bathrooms I would say that cleaning needs to be about more frequent, just one of those things. The use of the storage containers are cool but defo not soundproof at all obviously and very hot if you didn’t have aircon which I think most of the rooms do?
The pool was lovely, the bed was comfortable, common space was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The design of the place overall is pretty cool! The location isn’t in the main town but we knew that already, it’s about a 10-15minute walk out of town this was something we didn’t mind as it felt more private and there was a lovely little pool to relax in and you are in part of the jungle! The accommodation hasn’t be running for too long and considering that as well, we had a good time overall.

CanadaOnly provided a thin sheet for sleeping which had stains on it, no blanket. Parking on the road, secure parking wasn’t available to us because the owners were out when we arrived (their mom checked us in, she was very friendly and sweet). Shower worked but only got luke warm, hot setting was broken.
Located right on the edge of the jungle away from city noise. Very pretty pool area.

United StatesNot close to restaurants. We were only there on a stopover but Quepos is not a great town. People were trying to sell us drugs down by the waterside.
The manager Tere was fabulous. She was able to arrange an ATV tour for our family at the last minute. The tour was so fun. She also arranged for us to purchase breakfast from her neighbor. Typical tico breakfast wrapped in a banana leaf. Soft towels. Good AC. Very affordable.

United Statesi give this place all good reviews. i recommend they somehow title the many types of rooms they have in the photos so you know exactly what you are getting (the differences include a private kitchen, AC, balconies, space)...the parking is on a slim dirt street or a fenced in spot 5 shacks down. not too many guest during our stay so we snugged right out front thankfully....that being said, we had a great stay
we had a terrific stay in the 4 bunk jungle container. the AC was great, the community kitchen did the job, the jungle beyond the property brought us spider monkeys and all kinds of birds. the host was an allstar too. 20 minutes drive from manuel antonio. we enjoyed quepos as well. nice quite evenings. we had terrific neighbors sharing the space with us and the garden, community kitchen, extra showers, extra bathroom and extra space made for a roomy stay in small quarters
