We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. BelgiumIsa and Jailson will do everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They also have a car for rent, essential if you want to explore the island. The pool is awesome, the location dreamlike. Simple but efficient accommodation. The fridge was filled with complimentary goodies. Recommended.

FranceWe've been working for 10 days during the week days, and did online meetings and the internet was challenging to say the least. ~10Mbps down and less than 1Mbps up, shared among guests, was usually not enough for video calls or sharing screens. If you need to chat or send emails or just browse the internet and look for your next hike, it's perfectly fine though. As a back-up the 4G isn't available either, just a relatively weak 3G signal, making the Wifi still better than the mobile internet.
It's a very quiet and green place away from the nearby city of Porto Novo (2km away by foot), close to the ocean, the sandy beach and the sound of the waves. The flat has everything you may need to cook, live and sleep comfortably. The host, Anny, is always helping in case something would be needed. She brought us some fresh bread, gave us some cookies before a hike, organized hikes, gave tips, or even drove us to the city to shop, as we didn't have a car. She went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, she was absolutely a true gem!

SpainCoin de Paradis is more than a regular stay, it will become home in no time. Anny and her husband are wonderful heart minded people. Perfect place to relax after long days (hikes) in Santo Antão!

BelgiumThe place is wonderful and the host was incredibly helpful and nice, very understanding when we had to cut our stay short as our baby got sick. We couldn't recommend this place more! It also has a superb swimming pool.
