Spring mattress is quite uncomfortable but for one night stay it was ok, shower screen was missing and when using shower water went everywhere in the bathroom you can't close it

I did not read this acco is on the 3rd floor, so a lot of stairs to walk up. There are three or even four rooms, not sure, and only one bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. So when some one is having a shower you can not use the toilet... not handy in the morning...

Nice room with balcony. Perfect place in a busy shopping walking street, without cars. Nice quick chat with the owner by WhatsApp, because there is no reception. I let the owner know i am in 30 minutes, so a lady was there to show the room and carry my back to the 3rd floor (what i did not know, till we reach the 3rd floor)

The manager of this establishment Dandira is not honest. I contacted him to extend my stay, she tells me that he will provide me with the agreed room. but a few minutes later she contacted me to tell me that she will provide the agreed room to another person, and she offered me another type of room. I think this is not professional.

It was warm but with the fans is very comfortable.

The place is perfect located, in the main Street 5 de julho, with restaurants, shops, music and the market very close. The taxi Service is great and makes things so much easier when you arrive late night to Praia. The best room is the one with balcony, so nice. Dandira was very kind and patient with our flights changes. Thank you!

So terribly bad place. The owner Dandira lied to our faces. According to booking.com, it was shown in the pictures that you had your own toilet and not a shared toilet. It said nothing about a shared toilet. It was mentioned that you would get a toilet, etc. Once we checked in, Dandira showed us the place. I immediately pointed out that there was no private toilet. She said that in that case we can change to another apartment. I said yes we can do that, for the same price? She replied no you have to pay more for that. I was upset. She asked directly about payment and I replied we will pay tomorrow. The next day came and we were to pay. I said straight away that I have a lot of problems with my stomach and need a private toilet. And it says on the website and shows in the pictures that you get a private toilet with toilet paper, etc. She said no and she would show me. When she was about to show me, she herself admitted that it was not mentioned that the toilet was shared. I was very upset. She didn't apologize or anything. She just stood there completely silent. Then she started writing lots of messages about sorry etc., and that she had an apartment for us and 5 minutes later she didn't because it was booked. Then all of a sudden she had another apartment with a private toilet and she wrote that we would switch the next day. The next day came and she never heard back... Just straight up lies to her face. 2 times a carpenter came and disturbed us because he was going to nail something up inside the room. My God this must be fixed when there are no guests in the room. But let's be in peace on our vacation without lots of people running and knocking on the door, calling on the phone, sending messages, etc. So ugly and bad service. Do not book this place! The pictures are just lies, only one of the rooms has a balcony note! Even though it says all rooms have it. On booking.

SUBJECTIVELY: I checked again the description before writing this review but i can't seem to find any explicit mention to the room not having a private bathroom, usually it is specified or at least clear... I think that the way the photo are presented can be a bit deceiving. Also, the pictures are likely altered to make it look cleaner and nicer than it is. OBJECTIVELY: There were no mosquito nets on the windows so you couldn't open them without risking to be bitten and the lack of air conditioning was only partially mitigated by two fans; luckily we were there only one night in April so it wasn't too hot, but i think the absence of both AC and mosquito nets on the windows would make it unbearable if it weren't a chilly night to begin with (can't imagine in the actual summer).

Great position in the center of the most hip street in Praia's plateau. Very good comunication during the previous days, the host was kind enough to wait for us to change money the day after. Has a cheaper than average and very friendly paid shuttle that was great for transfer to and from the airport.

The location was great, above a pedestrian street with various cafes and restaurants plus live music. The manager and staff were excellent.- helpful and friendly.
