No water in the pool, no electric kettle to prepare hot water for tea, coffee. The dinner was average. Owner was a bit grumpy and did not want to involve himself in matching guests with transportation requests.

The cottage was nice designed, colourfull purple, orange, large space. Hot and cold shower. Owner spoke several languages incl Dutch. Good bed.

Pool was closed and empty. Wifi was not great. Only worked in small part of the room.

The room was big and comfortable, good breakfast, nice views and nice staff, but we had no wifi inside of the room and the swiming pool was a bit dirty

The pool was not clean, there was something like mousse growing and swimming around.. The windows: could not see throught, and to have the door open all the time did not feel very safe... In the shower, water was clearly leaking. We're asked to save water but half of the water is just leaking :(

The place! Liked the little round rooms and had a great spaghetti meal upon arrival, which was delicious (definitely starving after our hike!). They prepared breakfast for us at 6am so that we could start our hike early.

All good, but was a bit disappointed the pool was closed in Feb (“do to cold season”. 75-79 mid-day is pleasant for most of the planet to jump into the water mid-day, especially after a 6+ hour trek … So I would suggest management rethinks that, or states more clearly on Booking.

Ideal spot end of the Ponta Do Sol - Cruzinha walk. The rooms much brighter then the dull pics show on Booking. They did a nice dinner for us upon request. Staff set us up with shared auger for the next morning to get us to Rabiera Grande.

Unfortunately, the pool wasn't working during our stay but they let us know before our arrival. Also, it was really hot in the room.

The staff was really helpful and friendly. The food was great too.

It is an amazing, super quite spot surrounded by nature. it is a great location to start tracking along the coast. the place is however not maintained super well, but still we enjoyed it a lot, since we were the only guests. The lunch and dinner that was cooked there was simple but absolutely delicious

The staff was amazing! When we arrived they were so kind to cook lunch for us which was so good aswell was the dinner and breakfast. Even with language barriers. They tried their best and were really helpful. It took just a couple of minutes to go to the beach which we had to ourselves.

We booked this place to rest in the pool after 3 days of hiking so we where expecting the pool to be working. A little noticed in advance would be nice, probably we would have not come here if it wasn’t for that. Wi-fi didn’t work in the rooms, only in the main common areas

The location is amazing, almost subreal, which makes the venue somehow positively extravagant. The staff is friendly and the owner Ben shared interesting details on how it is to run a place in such a special and isolated location. The hotel faces the ocean wide open and I just loved it.

There was no hot water and weren't warned about it. There was no WiFi in the room. The staff wasn't super friendly nor helpful.

The staff does hardly speak English and is not motivated to try and help with hand and foot language. It is quite dirty, the pool not usable. Also we had a complete wet floor in the bathroom which we had to wipe ourselves as the toilet had been leaking. The dinner was very simple and not tasty. As vegetarians we’ve only been served cooked vegetables, No rice, no potatoes or anything that fills the stomach.

Pool was very dirty, sink was dirty, curtains were dirty, two windows did not open, hardly any water from sink tap. Property in desperate need of maintenance

Fantastic Location, great pool - I understand that this is sometimes empty as is needs to be cleaned, however, private beach 5 minutes away. Bit windy, but this didn't spoil the stay. Coastal walk is very close by, small village as well, with a couple of small restaurants. Food is basic, but good, large quantities as well. We had a hire car, so were mobile, but taxi can be called - and arrives fairly quickly. It is at the end of the road, so to go anywhere you have to travel backwards and forwards along this single road each time.

The room was a bit “tired”. The indoors and terrace could be more cozier and inviting for chilling after a day of active hiking.

The location and staff are fantastic! It‘s a great spot for hiking, either as a stop for a couple of nights or as a hub for a whole stay. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the host Ben is an awesome source for hiking tips and recommendations. We enjoyed our stay there a lot.
