Slovenia15 min walk from hotel to beach, no real outside space, room balkonies very dusty and since hotel located on the outskirts of Santa Maria, location very dusty. Problems with water, although we got water back in reasonable time.
Staff very coopertive and nice, they printed our bording passes, organized two roons since description on booking was not correct. Island tours can be organized at the reception, rooms were spacious, wifi was good. Low room (full board) price for Cabo Verde.

PortugalThe breakfast doesn't match the 4 star rating. Coffee, fruit and beverages need improvement.. Beds were very narrow (child-like) in the twin room and mattress should be better. The owner is Italian and there's one staff member who insisted on talking in Italian to guests who aren't Italian nor speaking Italian.
The local staff was amazing, amazingly friendly and helpful always going the extra mile and professional. It's clean and good size room.

NorwayIt is at the outskirts of Santa Maria Town and there are a few blocks to walk with little lighting if you are coming from the centre during night time. Also, the wifi was a bit unstable at times.

BelgiumThe light on the balcony is turned on automatically around 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. It cannot be turned off individually. So instead of sleeping with the window open, I had to close it and turn on the air conditioning. Pity...
Very nice and comfortable room. The staf very friendly and professional. Use of the beach of Halos hotel was easy, nice beach, you can walk to there. I had half board and I must admit that the food always looked beautiful, although sometimes (for me) it could have been more seasoned.

GermanyUpon arrival we got a room without balcony where you also could hardly open the window. When we complained the front desk lady tried to convince us that the booked comfort category did not have one included which was obviously not true. We showed her the booking confirmation, then she stated that there was no room left with balcony. After further complaints then she showed us the one we booked in the end - which was free. We felt taken for a ride. In total some of the staff at the reception where really friendly but most where just not caring much and lacked service orientation. Not good management from the owners. We booked half board and the food in the evening was not really good with very little choice - no buffet, just 2 dishes fish or meat, no vegetarian menu options even though we asked several times before booking if that was the case and they responded "yes". We would definitely not have dinner there again. A joke for a four star hotel and not worth the money. Ordered and confirmed taxi to the airport did not arrive.
Rooms very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, fan and air condition in the room, big and powerful hair dryer in the bathroom (for those who have long hair really a plus as often not the case). Breakfast ok but not comparable to other four star hotels with regards to choices. Sunbeds included at Halos Beach which is a plus.
