+Spacious, clean room with a small table/chair and a fan (room 5) +Great communal indoor seating area +First accommodation to accept credit card payment (currently a rarity for budget accommodation) +Smart lock on room, therefore no need for a key or card. Just need to remember the code given. +Very helpful and friendly reception staff who speak English +2 kitchens available to use +Aluguers/ beach/ shops etc all practically on your doorstep Note- there are only 2 shared bathrooms- personally I did not experience any issues in having to wait to use them. Water pressure can be low at times but seems a CV issue and not an accommodation specific issue.

Wi-fi was really bad! In upload especially, don’t expect to be working with this si-fi unless they change it. No large storage to keep your luggage in the room, it just stays next to your bed, more storage solutions in the huge rooms could help :) Breakfast is served in the market in front of the Hostel and it comes together with you room, only thing is that the hostel charges 500 ESC for it while if you go there and buy the same on your own is 350 ESC, and is a small breakfast after all.

Amazing stuff, especially Zidane & Fica! Super friendly and helpful. The place was kept very clean especially during the day! The rooms are very big and spacious but there are no curtains/ separations in between beds, so if you take a shared dorm privacy should not be a priority. Great balcony overlooking the market. Reception 24/7. Great vibes overall!

The staff and the manager are friendly and welcoming. Despite the narrow entrance, the place has a lot of space, good facilities and is really clean. The dorms are comfortable (except for the noise coming from the outside but that's everywhere in Tarrafal..). The (optional) breakfast is served at the market right next to the hostel and is really good.

It would be good to buy new kitchen utensils, like pans and pots.

It's a 5min walk to the beach, and has a lot of grocerie stores arround it, so it makes it perfect to save some money by buying, and cooking your food at the hostel. Everyone was very nice, and I felt very safe, personally, and by leaving my things unintended at the dorm (payed for one dorm bed). Very good experience!

There are only two toilets for the whole hostel. Also, I booked 6-bed dormitory and it was 8-bed. Not a big deal, but it should be changed. Overall cleanliness could be better.

Great location and big and cozy common areas. Beds were comfortable. The dining hall is light and beautiful. Breakfast was also good (banana, papaya, eggs, bread, margarine, jelly and coffee). The fans were provided for the rooms. I liked the vivid colours and nice details of the rooms. Overall, very laid back vibes in the hostel.

The bed and pillow was a bit uncomfortable but for 2 nights it was okay.

The people who work here are really nice and they help you a lot to find everything you need ! Nice breakfast with fruits, eggs and bread.

...The Noise by some disco snack café at the "collective" square is horrible! Sound often on Very Loud till 4 a.m. Last day a bumper, as the Cabo-American owner, has dismissed one staff member (Katia), with no obvious reason... none of any other staff members, didn't know why and it created lot's of unrest!

Due to some electricity problems on the island the wifi did not work at first and also after some time working it stopped working again. In the shared dorm there was not many plugs (which I did not mind as I was there alone) but I had to plug the fan far from my bed.

The hostel is situated very well within the city. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was also good.

Dont book a room at weekends. The sourrounding area is extremely loud (party music till 07:00 in the morning 😅 )
