Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Trinidad and TobagoThoroughly enjoyed this trip to Mangrove. It was my first time doing an all inclusive resort and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the amazing front desk staff upon our arrival, to the cleanliness of the room, then the entertainment sessions held by Jahwi, it was a great experience and place to stay. The food at the buffet was great and held a lot of variety but I do think the al la carte restaurants can extend their hours during peak periods as it was difficult securing a reservation and when we finally did, it was really small portion sizes although they tasted amazing. I must compliment the staff also at the Coco Palm Bar as they were truly a delight to speak to and the drink tastings were great based on our individual likes.

CuraçaoThe rules about leaving the buffet restaurant with drinks and the substitute cups to pour your wine you want to take with you is ridiculous.
Love all the options within the property no need to leave it, we had an amazing birthday stay.

United StatesMajority of the staff was not particularly friendly or eager to serve guests. There were definitely a few wonderful, welcoming staff but few and far between.
There were nice amenities.

Trinidad and TobagoThe front desk staff was unprofessional, her name was Alaisha. She was not accommodating or helpful and actually asked us to go another hotel. Housekeeping was also not good. The housekeeper came and did not even make our beds, sweep or clean bathrooms, she just changed towels.
Place was beautiful. The Harbour Restaurant was excellent, staff was great there. Overall, the food was very good. I had a vegetarian person in our party, and she was pleased with the variety of food available.

GuatemalaRestrooms were not cleaned as frequently, we would find topped up trash cans, dirty floors, no toilet paper occasionally, also we found some sinks that wouldn't work (in restrooms that have 2 sinks, one not working is really not good).
We loved that the property is right near downtown. We were able to go to a walking tour walking straight from the hotel. We loved the food, the variety and quality. Drinks were also good. Most of the staff is friendly, although we did find a few that were not as friendly but I would guess it's because many guests are rude and maybe the staff is tired of serving people like that 🤔 (it's just a guess). We loved the staff that was in charge of animating (swimming pool activities, beach volleyball, etc) they make a great atmosphere.

United StatesMany of the staff just seemed unhappy with their jobs, others were indifferent. while only very few were outwardly friendly and smiling. The massive cruise ships just off the beach were a negative. The line to make dinner reservations was ridiculous.
Spacious room, comfortable bed and nice balcony. Great food, plenty of chairs at the beach and a protected area to swim and snorkel. Enjoyed the entertainment at night. Excellent fitness area and pickleball!

Trinidad and TobagoThe power outlet is catered for European style equipment. It was not clearly stated in your hotel profile that an adapter is required for North America style. Property should cater enough adapter for customers, it didn’t have any available when checked in.
The wide set of food and beverages available. The pool, the beach front and the scenery just simply great.

United StatesThe food was horrible, the food selections did not rotate often and the restaurants were all booked up. The options were slim. The had plenty of bread and danishes. Some of the food was stale including the cereals. It was not worth the cost of an all inclusive stay. There is no room service. The liquor was horrible, on one bar has anything other than well liquor and it was often understaffed
The room was nice

CuraçaoDuring the day, especially between daypass hours, there was little clean up. There were cups and plates with leftover food everywhere. At 5pm there was a group of daypassers who got into an altercation with the bar crew for not serving them more drinks eventhough the daypass limit was passed. The bar near the lobby had two holes in the ceiling that were leaking water. Back there, there were dirty dishes piled up as well. There was a supervisor manager yelling at an employee in front of all of us. Eventhough it wasn't in English, her agitation was noticeable.
The bar crew on the Saturday night was great. Tivar, Devenier and crew were creative with the cocktails and professional at work. The main restaurant has proper and plentiful options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And the staff was continuously cleaning the tables and picking dirty dishes. That was great.

Trinidad and TobagoWe didn't have time to visit all the restaurants but will do so next time.
The staff was very friendly especially those at the front desk, bars and the chefs. We totally enjoyed the BBQ it was a hit. Reservation to the restaurants was not a requirement which was a plus and another great thing is the access to food and drinks 24/7.

ColombiaAt the bars and restaurants the attention can be slow, and most of the employees are not as smiling and friendly as in other places in the Caribbean we’ve been to. In the rooms some walls have humidity, and some drawers had a smell because of that. We had a situation in which the attention was not the expected: one of my family members had an injury with a beach bed. Someone from the staff came and told us we would get medical assistance in a few minutes, but it never came. They didn’t even ask us information to do a follow up.
I went with my family for vacation and we had a great time in the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, good supplies in the bathroom, iron, snacks, cafe, tea, water and sodas. Our room was in the first floor in front of the main pools and it was very quiet inside. It has some humidity in some walls and some drawers had a smell because of that. We received very good attention from Swen, the manager, who was very friendly, helpful, kind and gave us pertinent information. The beach is beautiful, no waves, blue clear water, soft sand. There’re different options to lay in the beach: the regular beach beds with umbrella are free, and there’re bigger kiosks that cost between USD 20 and 40 depending on the size and type of beach bed. We really liked the food. The buffet has different options specially for dinner, when it has options around a theme. The hotel has 4 walk-in restaurants: Italian, sushi, seafood and bbq. And we also had the possibility to go to Mexican and Turkish in the hotel next to ours (The Rif). It’s recommended to arrive early cause they get long queues around 7:30 pm. They also have snack bar from 11 to 5 with fast food, ice cream and salads. There’re entertainment shows around 9 pm. Before coming I had read a lot of comments on the rats. I saw around 4 of them, only in the evening. For us it was not a problem at all.

Trinidad and TobagoThe dessert station should have signs saying what the desserts are. Everything looked amazing but had no idea what it was. I would take something thinking it’ll taste good but I won’t like it because it would have something I don’t eat. Like raisins or nuts or something. Signs are much needed.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner was great. So many options to choose from. Not everything tasted great. There were some hits and misses with the food.

Trinidad and TobagoThere were rats. That is an issue that needs to be sorted out. Air condition in room was not working properly. Sometimes when you walk into the room, the entire floor and walls would be wet.

Trinidad and TobagoAs an all-inclusive guest, we rely heavily on quality and consistency. The drinks lack those. The servers at Dushi Sushi need to be more customer oriented to tourists of different countries.

Trinidad and TobagoThe hotel needs more staff to facilitate the number of guests, to unkeep cleaning etc. Also need more tables for the buffet. Most times was a struggle to find a clean table. Buffet needs hand sanitizer or gloves. Very unsanitary as is.
The food choices at the buffet were excellent. The kids enjoyed the water slides a lot. The beach was very nice.
