Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaSuper odd toilet/washroom. In a nook under the eaves with limited headroom over the toilet but a clear view into the room ( and vice versa) from the toilet. A curtain would help. The room is cool because of the idiosyncrasies, but the odd toilet design is remarkable.
Fantastic location and staff. Amazing room up in the rafters! Full of character and definitely unique!

FranceI missed some tools in the kitchen, but the rest was perfect.
We had our room updgraded to a suite with 2 bedrooms with view to the sea. Nice decoration with kitchen and all facilities. We also enjoy the pool of the hotel. The hotel is in a charming neighbourhood and at walking distance to the city centre. Thanks for this great experience!

Very close to everything in city. Lots of restaurants nearby. The pool outside the door was great too. Kitchen was basic but worked great.

CanadaThe noise. We expected the noise of New Year's ever and New Year's Day. Our building (pink) was located beside a restaurant. We woke up each morning at 6:00 am to hear tables being moved and staff having discussions. At 1:00 am all is silent. This was the case for all three nights. Expect to pay more than you think due to the taxes... too much for the value. Would recommend at a lower price point.
Love the Hotel itself. It looks to have 3-4 different buildings with rooms. Some would me more favourable than others. All have access to the pool via a gated code. There are restaurants nearby and lots of action. The bed was quite comfy. Rooms spacious. Very quaint!

BrazilDespite the room being spacious, the bathroom had no door, which was not at all convenient and the flights of stairs to get to the room are very steep and were not easy to go up and down with a baby (the hotel was full and there was no ground floor room to relocate us). The breakfast was quite disappointing, since it was in a cafe one block away from the hotel. The key issue is that it's not a breakfast buffet, you just get the right to one drink and one food serving per person, which means you can have coffee or juice, if you take both you have to pay on top of the included package. That goes for food also, you can choose an omelet or a fruit bowl, not both. In the end, the cost of breakfast from the hotel is clearly not worth it
The hotel is in a very central location for driving to the beach, but specially great for walking downtown, which we did every evening for dinner. The room was very comfortable and large, with enough space for a large bed, a cot and a lot of circulation

NetherlandsNot a complaint oer se, I knew beforehand that it was going to be loud. People were celebrating new years and throwing fireworks outside, we could hear it. But they did warn us and tried to be as accommodating as possible.
I love the location, architecture, interior design and overall aesthetic. I went at their busiest day, which is new years. They warned me in advance that it was going to be crazy and loud due to all the festivities around the hotel. But it was worth it. Also, the rooms were cleaned daily and smelled clean.

BrazilI was disappointed by the excessive noise. My room was very close to a restaurant on the street, and the noise was so loud that it felt like someone was entering my room in the middle of the night.
I particularly appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the convenient location, and the excellent hotel facilities.

NetherlandsDue to poor ventilation, the room had an unpleasant smell. Also, depending on where your room is located, you might experience too much noise.
I love the location and architecture. The rooms are beautiful and unique, old colonial homes. The overall vibe is great.

BelgiumAs it is in its original style there isn’t too much light inside the rooms. Maybe some additional lights could improve this without changing the beautiful buildings)
Perfect location to get to know the beautifull neighbourhood of Pietermaai, with lots of bars and restaurants. Beautifull hotel, in its typical old style of Willemstad (I prefer this over the modern Hotels they are constructing.

Mexico1) There were two night guests (cockroaches) and hopefully nobody came with me to my house. 2)!!!!!I was promised a taxi in the early morning to airport (5:45a.m.) but nobody showed up and nobody was available neither by WhatsApp nor by phone at that time. My nightmare came true because I nearly missed my flight. I was really desperate. Luckily one nice guy on the street agreed to drive us to airport.
The room, swimming pool and location are exceptional. The atmosphere is special.
