Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandRoom doors and windows did not protect against noise from the outside. Luckily there weren't many guests in the hotel during my stay so it wasn't a big problem. The rooms are clean in general, I would just point out the drawers inside that were dusty.
The location Is good, close to the city center with bars and restaurants. It's also close to the bus stop. It's situated on a hill. As a solo female traveler I felt safe. The breakfast was really good, lots of varieties. They have gluten free bread if you are allergic. The staff is very kind and helpful. I loved the view from the hotel breakfast room.

United KingdomWe were fine with everything but some people may find that the access is by a few steps so difficult for some I would think.
Great location between old town and harbour and breakfast was excellent in a pretty setting overlooking the coast with landscape windows view. All staff were exceptionally helpful also.

Place with amazing view and pleasant staff. Breakfasts with sea/town panorama... unforgettable. 2 busses from bus-stop 3 minutes away, one to harbour, one to bigger station with switch possibilities. Town center with a lot of restaurants and shops just 12 minutes away.

RomaniaEverything was perfect.
We had a one night stay booking before our flight and we enjoyed the location very much, especially the view from this high point of the old city over the sea. The hotel was really nice in a very old historical building that is very good maintained. The room was clean and we enjoyed our last night in Cyprus from our balcony with view over the city and sea. We also had a very good dinner at the restaurant near the hotel - Muse.

United KingdomA friendly family run hotel with a commitment to help you to enjoy your stay. Out mattress was too hard and this was changed for us. We knew the hotel is up the hill from the resort at the bottom and so were prepared for the walk. Breakfast was good and we especially enjoyed the homemade jams on offer. The view from the spacious dining room across Paphos is great as you are eating.

The staff was really nice. The view from the hotel is AMAZING. We regret not having stayed here longer. The room was decent in size. The staff would clean the room everyday.

United StatesNo complaints!
Very nice hotel for the value. Great location - right in the old town and tje archeological sights are within a 30 minute walk. We were upgraded to a sea view room for free which we appreciated very much. The breakfast was pretty good even for me being a vegan, and the staff was sweet. You can tell that this is a family run hotel and it was charming.

AustraliaEverything was great!
This hotel has a family-run vibe; but is a beautiful old building with an amazing view across Paphos. This is the only place you need to book in Paphos. I booked the most budget room available and it was nice—comfy, spacious, great air con, bathroom and desk. The complimentary breakfast was a huge bonus and very generous. The staff were friendly and polite and everything was easy. I would rebook again without hesitation. If you are staying in Paphos, stay at the Axiothea Hotel

IsraelNothing, all was as was in the information and even better.
We received the rooms with "sea-view". At the counter we were welcomed in a very hospital way, feeling a kind of home. The hotel is >50 years operated by the family, while the original building is from 1920. It means that for example the colours of the tiles in the bathroom are a bit outdated, but the beds are very good, it is clean and well maintained. Nice breakfast. The "bonus" is that you are already IN the old city. Good parking lot, which is another bonus in this region.
