Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThey have a permanent resident who's mentally troubled and nobody to look after him or provide him food.. I moved my stuff from the fridge to the room and it vanished also. I don't mind to help which I did then everything started to disappear even without asking and from the room also!?!?
My food was ropped and when I reported it to Stavros, he did nothing and replied it's not his job to protect my things.. the room has no locks and the door was shattered.. no safe.. no cutlery.. the house itself is great and spot on for relaxation..

PolandAt first I didn't have a duvet, nor a pillow nor a bedding. The mattress was totally dirty, the bedsheet wasn't fresh, I'm sure. The owner came to look for a person who stole some things the day before, he started to argue with two guests of the hostel, told them to leave (it was about 9pm and the hostel is far away from everything). Finally they stayed but they were argueing long time. The atmosphere was bad, some people were smoking inside the hostel, it was really cold. Another guest found me a duvet but still, it smelled bad.
Even for this price it should be better. I had a bed, hot shower and WiFi. Thats all.

CyprusConsidering this is the cheapest place in Nicosia, I can't complain.
I needed to stay one night in Nicosia in the Kaimakli area. Unfortunately or fortunately, I was alone in the hostel, so it was quite calm. Despite other bad reviews, the toilets and linens were clean and there was no smell. This is the most extreme point of the city, but further down the street there is a small store where you can buy groceries.

HungaryThe place was shut down by the municipality weeks ago, according to the neighbors. On the arrival day Booking.com was still sending messages. No idea that the place isn't real. As if all would be ok. Booking.com then didn't arrange for another accommodation. Total failure!!!

CyprusHonestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about my stay at Costas Hostel. Everything worked out perfectly— the staff were helpful, the facilities were clean, and the location was ideal. It’s clear that the hostel is well-run and focused on providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for its guests. That being said, it’s important to recognize that part of the experience of staying in a hostel comes from the people you meet there. Hostels are communal spaces, so your interactions with fellow travelers can shape your stay. Fortunately, during my time at Costas, I met friendly, like-minded people who added to the positive atmosphere. However, it’s always good to remember that the social dynamic can vary depending on who is staying at the hostel at the same time as you. Overall, my experience at Costas Hostel was fantastic, with no real complaints or issues.
Costas Hostel Review: A Comfortable and Welcoming Stay Staying at Costas Hostel was an exceptional experience that combines affordability, comfort, and a warm, communal atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Whether you're a solo traveler or with a group, the hostel provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Pros of Costas Hostel: 1. Affordability: One of the standout features of Costas Hostel is its budget-friendly pricing. For travelers looking to save money without compromising on comfort, this hostel is a perfect option. The value for money is excellent, especially considering the amenities provided. 2. Cleanliness: The rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas are meticulously cleaned and well-maintained. Cleanliness is often a concern in hostels, but at Costas, it's clear that they take pride in keeping their space spotless. 3. Great Location: Costas Hostel is conveniently located close to public transport, local attractions, and shops. Whether you want to explore the city or just grab a quick bite, everything is within easy reach. This adds to the overall convenience of staying here. 4. Friendly Atmosphere: One of the biggest advantages of staying at Costas Hostel is the social environment. Hostels are known for bringing together people from different parts of the world, and Costas is no exception. The common areas encourage interactions between guests, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. It’s easy to meet fellow travelers, share stories, and make new friends. 5. Well-Equipped Facilities: The hostel offers a range of facilities, including a well-stocked kitchen, free Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and secure lockers. This makes it easy for guests to relax or take care of their basic needs without worrying about additional costs or inconvenience. 6.

CyprusHonestly, I liked everything about my stay at Costas Hostel Action 2. The facilities were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the price was unbeatable. However, since this is a dormitory setup, the experience can vary depending on who else is staying there. It's important to be mindful that shared spaces can sometimes mean noise or varying levels of consideration from other guests. That being said, I had a great experience overall!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Costas Hostel Action 2 in the heart of Nicosia, Cyprus, and I can't recommend it enough! Originally, I booked for just one night but ended up extending my stay because it was such a perfect experience. The hostel is incredibly clean, with well-maintained bunk beds that come with fresh sheets, making for a very comfortable night's sleep. Despite being located in the capital, the cost is shockingly affordable—around 10 euros per night! This makes it ideal for backpackers and solo travelers who are looking for budget-friendly accommodation without sacrificing comfort. One of the highlights of my stay was the diverse and friendly crowd I met—fellow travelers from various backgrounds and cultures, which added a rich, social element to the experience. If you're into alternative and cost-effective travel, this is the place to be. While it’s a dormitory setup, and you do need to be mindful of shared spaces, the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. For anyone looking to step away from overpriced hotels and enjoy a more authentic, community-oriented stay in Nicosia, Costas Hostel Action 2 is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

CyprusThe place looks abandoned. Doors and plugs were broken, dirty clothes hanging from the closets, foul smell, dirty bathroom. We used the electric lock to self check-in so we didn't get in touch with personnel. We left and made another reservation for the rest of our trip.
Quiet neighborhood.
