The hotel has an excellent location. I enjoyed having a couple of Jever beers at the bar. The room was clean and modern. The breakfast selection was very good. There was a mix up over key cards when I arrived and another guest opened my door when I was in the room. This was quickly sorted out by Reception who apologised and gave me a free drink voucher for the bar. I would return.

I booked a superior room, which had listed mini bar, hairdryer - which were both missing. I stayed with a friend, we weren't that bothered about the mini bar so didn't tell staff, however I had to call down to reception in the morning to ask for a hairdryer, the person who answered the phone said 'one moment' but actually put the phone down on me. I called back ( she knew she had done that) and said 'someone is coming'. Upon arrival the TV remote was also missing, me and my friend spent ages trying to work out if the TV was touch screen and maybe it wasn't needed? A minor annoyance, but together with hairdryer, no mini bar, and in the shower the small shelf for shampoos was hanging at an angle, needs some attention. I was staying in the room with a friend, the bathroom area has no door to it, only on the actual WC so I would have preferred a door on the bathroom, There is an opaque piece of glass between shower and bedroom, which is transparent below knee and above head. Lastly in the morning I realised the large shower head coming from ceiling wasn't working, only had the shower which you can hold in your hand with no where to put it which was a bit disappointing. We only stayed one night, had I stayed longer would have addressed all issues, but we didn't have time.

Reception staff upon arrival very welcoming. The Hotel is stylish and most of my interactions with staff during my stay were very good. The waitress in the restaurant was very friendly, professional and efficient. The hotel is beautifully designed, and in a good location, in the centre of Hamburg and has a very Spanish feel to it. We decided to go out for breakfast, the evening meal in the restaurant was ok.

Didn’t like the bedroom layout.. bathroom is in the bedroom.. sliding door to the toilet. Glass door to the shower unit. Wash basin is in the bedroom.. weird!

They had the airco turned off. Pillows were too large (but not really uncomfortable). Cigarette buds and a pair of old socks outside the window on the flat roof.

Room, shower, sheets spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Fast, roomy elevators. Friendly reception. Very close to the Europa passage shopping mall, which brings you straight to the center of town.

During our stay there was a clear problem with the drains which left an extremely unpleasant smell around the whole hotel. It took a couple of days to resolve with very few updates unless you asked and even then it was very brief.

The property was clean and tidy, the staff friendly and helpful. The location was central and provided great access to central Hamburg and the Christmas markets. The central train station was a 10 minute walk giving easy access to the larger Hamburg area.

There are no isolations between toilet ( including shower stand) and corridor, and the hotel did not arrange a twin bed room but a double room for me and my friend.

The bed is comfortable (especially the pillows, they are kind of supportive), the shower stand have a overhead shower hose and it improves the shower experience. Also the chocolate gift next to the bed are also surprised me. Finally, the location is nice (close to the Hamburg HBF station and located in a safe area).

The staff at breakfast were good but when we left the table (with a full teapot, coffee etc) to go to the buffet the table was fully cleared of everything & was being reset when returned only to be asked if we wanted to sit there!

Staff were arogant and would ignore you if they felt like it, particularly at the Bar. Price was very steep, possibly because if was a Friday night (weekwnd).

Excellent room, newly renovated with great facilities. Plenty of sockets, good WiFi at all times. Staff were OK, but very direct. Good location for the Christmas Markets, Lake and Train Station. Great breakfast.

The heating in the room was not functioning, leaving the room uncomfortably cold. Unfortunately, the staff was unable to provide a solution, so I had to resort to using a hair dryer to warm the space and requested an additional duvet. Additionally, one of the reception staff members appeared inexperienced, leading to a prolonged check-in process. At one point, they nearly misplaced our credit card, which caused unnecessary stress.

Minor issues: The lighting throughout the hotel is very dark. Brighter lights in the bathroom especially would be good. As other reviews have mentioned, lifts can be a bit temperamental, no problem for us as the hotel wasn’t too busy.

Chromecast didnt work, tv wifi connection was so bad we couldnt watch movies. Elevators were BUSY 24/7 and we had to wait quite long time before getting down/upstairs.

The shower has a handheld shower, which worked fine, but the overhead setting for the rain shower did not work. The bags of the small dustbins in the room keep on breaking if you put something in the bin. Often, only one of the three elevators is operational, and you have a long wait to travel to your floor.

A light in an elevator. I thought that something is broken inside but it wasn't. Not easy to push the right button.
