Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We went to the room ať 3.15 p.m. and there was not cleaned up inside. We waited about 15 minutes in front of the door of the room

I didn’t like the exact location of the hotel, as I didn’t feel to be in Germany at all! Streets were dirty, and the atmosphere wasn’t good at all! TV wasn’t in German at all check-in was horrible.The machine didn’t accept my card of residency, and the reciptionist was like that I was supposed to bring my passport with me! I mean why should I bring my passport when I am already a resident in this country? Because it didn’t work I had to go to another building and then come back! I mean, 30 Minutes for check-in?

The only thing I didn’t like about the property is the street it is on…
Close to the main station so was ideal for anyone needing to get to the station quickly. Also, amenities close by.

The elevator was broken and i read it‘s been 3 months now. it was suck because our room was on the 5th floor.

The lift was broken and we were on the top floor, so alot of stairs to navigate with luggage. The street was alive all night with people yelling and sirens, very hard to sleep.
Was very easy to get to from the train station. Check in for us was easy with no problems, however there was a few people having problems trying to check in Bathroom was very clean and modern. The bed was comfortable.

The elevator was broken and the room was at the third floor. It is also necessary to do the check in in one place and then the room was in another place, and the entrance of the hotel is not very well indicated.
The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom too (even though it was separated from the main room).

Elevator did not work, we were on 5th floor. No clothes hangers of any kind available in the room. Price was ridiculously pumped up due to SMM fair and last minute booking... 700+ eur for two nights, two people in the same room without air conditioning. Reality is, the room was worth 50 EUR per night and I am being generous. I was actually so frustrated I already booked other hotel one year in advance for this specific fair, just to avoid similar situation in the future.
Room was clean. Staff was pleasant during check in on remote location (it seems owner has several hotels). That was about that.

the lift was broken and we were in the third floor; that was stressful for us. The room was too small for 4 people; no place for luggage. The check-in procedure was too complicated and long. Could it be done online? Room was very hot and hard to air upon arrival.
THE system withe the key was good(entrance locked, stair case locked, room locked.. Location was good.

Its near the train station, there were a lot of junkies outside the hotel. Also you had to go to another location to check in.

check-in service and reception is in different place at walking distance, unfortunately it is located in zombie land, noisy and busy till 4 at night

no reception to ask for information, extra towels etc. there were winter blankets and the city was very hot, no mats in the bathroom and hooks to hang clothes before shower

My room window opened to the roof of next building. The roof was scatered with rotting rubbish. The smell was evident in the room.

Because of the very warm building, windows needed to be opened for some fresh air at night. Unfortunately, the street in front was very noisy during large part of the night.

Almost everything. Room was too small. The check out time was 10 which is very early. Area is not safe. Full of narcos and alcoholics. We payed extra 10 euro.
