The room was bigger than I expected! It was very comfortable and stylish. Very close to the station and supermarket. There was a coffee around a toilet , I thought it was free, but they took 3.5euro for instant light coffee.

We had a big room which was great with lots of space and French windows, but only one comfy chair which is not useful with two guests.

Liked the architecture of the building. Old courtyard outside for sunny days. The restaurant decor was beautiful.

It was poorly soundproofed that you were able to hear footsteps of people coming up the stairs.

Too expensive 25€ for the small dog each night, but the cleaning of the room is scheduled every two days so quite hard to understand the daily charge of 25€.

Our room's temperature was lower than expected. I tried to increase by changing the regulator setting but without a success

We traveled to Cologne for the famous carnival season and needed information about the parade schedule. One of the reception staff was completely clueless, which left a bad impression on us—this is a world-renowned celebration, after all. Thankfully, the next day, another staff member provided us with the details we needed.

The Reception gave the wrong room to me and then change to correct room rely on my booking, i feel disappointed and not well management. The room on 5th floor with no lift. But they compliment free breakfast 😒 If they final recheck, guest may not wasting time.

The only issue we had was the TV. We couldn’t get it to work at all. We mentioned this to the person on reception but the tech staff had gone home at that time. He suggested we try the following day but we forgot as it wasn’t that important to us!

The location of the hotel was perfect. Everything we needed was a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The room was nice, spacious and clean. A few reviews mention noise issues with the work being done outside, but we didn’t have any problems with this during our stay!

- bathroom only had hand wash, body lotion and shampoo. This is a strange thing as all hotels nowadays provide a shower gel and hair conditioner also. Just strange having to use hand wash instead of shower gel & not having conditioner leaves hair super frizzy! - considering not the whole room is carpeted, it is strange slippers are not provided -lastly, we stayed 3 nights and our room has not been cleaned even one time during this time! Which is really very odd. Most hotels of this standard offer daily cleaning in my experience…

Breakfast, hot food trays were empty every morning, apart from a couple of sausages. Scrambled egg was left empty on all morning we stayed. Bread was being cut by other guests which isn't great that lots of people putting their hands all over the bread. Coffee machine was good though. Better paying for room only and eating breakfast out. Honestly box could contain some none fizzy juices would be a good idea. Staff didn't feel very welcoming, just stare as you enter.

The room size was great. Bathroom was great with heated floor. The room was clean and lots of space. The honesty box in the hallway for drinks. Location was easy 10 minute walk to the cathedral. Spa was good as your could have it to yourself (at a cost which wasn't mentioned when booking the first day) Beds very comfy and pillows great
