Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe double room was too small. This room is for 1 person. The bed was quite hard and had a pillar that was quite in the way.
I liked that it was close to everything in the city center. The location of the hotel itself. The rooms were clean, with enough towels, toiletries and a hairdryer.

United KingdomPerched on top of a car park with a 2m ish height limit, I was worried that I might graze my roof box when driving into the car park. If we’d needed to park elsewhere it would have been a long walk from a suitable car park to take luggage in, via a narrow alley, and the single three or four person lift to the top of the car park. We have a wheelchair user, so max three… There seem to be some permanent residents, and lots of young backpackers, who cannot have paid the amount we paid for our stay. Perhaps we booked late, and at the weekend, so the price may have been justified, on a supply and demand basis. Cologne is not a cheap place to stay, but our next hotel is a Novotel in our next stop which is less than half the price, and more comfortable, with a better breakfast. There was aircon, a hairdryer, and a clock radio, but no bedside lamps. Brits also like a kettle in the room, but the kitchen was not far away, with a shared fridge, hobs and microwave. Someone had cooked butter chicken just before we arrived, and the corridors were a reminder, for at least a couple of hours. Although the pictures show balconies, not all rooms have them, our family room didn’t, but trade off is we were off the main street, which is probably quieter (which is more important for us) Facilities listed in the description include toilet paper… really? This is supposed to be 3 star. The hostel is just beneath the surface.
Rooms are a good size, and it is relatively quiet for a city centre “hotel”. Air conditioning is a bonus. Location is excellent, with a lot of attractions within 15-20 minutes walk. There is a handy supermarket on the ground floor. Breakfast is adequate, with “omelette” turning out to be scrambled eggs, with the other choice being boiled egg (yes, one) , which is served with cucumber, tomatoes and two small slices of salami and chicken, plus the usual cheese. A bread roll is also served. You can also have cereal, (longlife milk) OJ, and coffee. Same both days we stayed.

BelgiumThe breakfast was limited, even for a 3 star hotel. Coffee, tea, juice and cereals were from a small buffet. Bread, egg and cheese was served on the table. E.g. no yoghurt available. Overall and value for money, it was expensive.
We stayed in the hotel with our 2 kids, it was great that we could stay in a family room (double bed and a high sleeper for the kids). The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Perfect for a citytrip with kids. The hotel has a top spot located, almost in the city center (5min walk from the Dom and the Chocolate museum). The building in which the hotel is located is a bit quirky, the ground floor is a shop (REWE), the next 5 floors are a car park and the hotel is located on the top floor of the car park. So don't expect a balcony or big window with a great view.
