Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalNot the best isolation on the "cube" and the bathroom is off course outside so cold weather meant dreading having to go in the morning/nught

GermanyIf you lose your key card there is no option to enter your lodge again. You will stand outside with nothing. If this happens to you in the night have fun searching another hotel at 2 AM.

GibraltarStaff were very rude and reluctant to help when trying to order food/drinks from the bar, not to mention laughing in my face, when making an attempt. There were around 7 people behind the bar and not one tried to recommended anything as the whole menu was in German. Would NEVER stay here again. ALSO, when checking in we were not told of heating in the cubes. After two nights of freezing cold I went to ask for an extra blanket, we were then told of the heating.
Beds were comfy

United KingdomThe lodges are not soundproof but they are WIFI proof. Until 10pm you'll hear constant shouting from the volleyball courts and after that you'll hear the music from the bar and it's generator, past midnight you'll hear everyone drunkenly leaving in the alley on their bikes. Early morning, metal kegs being delivered via the alley will wake you and pray that it does not rain because you will hear every drop. The bathroom facilities are awful and there are no toiletries provided and if you want a towel you have to pay for it. The staff were unhelpful and know that the facilities are bad but didn't care to do anything about it.
The beds were comfy.

AustraliaThe rooms are very, very small. There is no space for luggage, apart from storing it under the bed making it somewhat inaccessible. The mattresses were not very comfortable. There is no soundproofing so you can hear all of the traffic noise as well as conversations in adjoining cube lodges. The toilets and showers were located a short walk away from the cube we were in. They are essentially camping like facilities. They were clean but very small.
The location was excellent. There was a bar on site too which was handy.

BrazilThe rooms are very small, the bathroom is not always clean, the fan didn't work well and the room was extremely hot.
It was extremely close to a metro station, and the common area was the best part of it. They have a bar that you can drink and eat, and loads of volleyball courts

United KingdomBe aware there is a large club next door with music that goes on until the early hours of the morning on some nights. There is no soundproofing in the rooms.
Comfy beds and clean rooms and facilities. Great food is served in the restaurant and there is a lovely beach bar/club area to sit in. Easy to access all the main sights of Berlin, especially by electric scooters which are very easy to use.

PolandOur room was locate to a massive, loud power generator, which made constant noise the whole night. It was so bad that we found a different accommodation on the spot. Not all rooms are close to that generator, but it was truly terrible.
The vibe in the hostel is nice, the location is central.

United KingdomThe pods are not soundproof so you can hear everything from the four that are in each block. This was fine for us as we are used to camping.
Basic and clean accommodation at a low price.. Good communication with staff beforehand. Good vibe and a fun place. We were pleased to be there when there was a volley ball competition. The toilets and showers are clean and nearby.

PolandUnfortunately, the room turned out to be very small. In the first second, I tripped over the bed, which was blocking half of the entrance. We found a spider inside. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I felt it would be more comfortable to sleep on rocks. On the first night of our stay I got in the shower where I couldn't lock the door with a key, which resulted in three people coming in while I was washing myself. There is only one dryer. The showers themselves have been installed in such a way, that you have to be really flexible to wash yourself completely. You have to press the button to run the water for 20 seconds. And if that wasn't enough, we could hear people partying all night long. It was hard to fall asleep in such conditions.
The cube looks good at first glance. It's in a very good location. Lady from the reception was very nice and made sure that everything was explained to us.

United KingdomThere were rats. We spotted at least 3 running just outside our door which prompted us to never leave it open after that. Check out was supposed to be easy - we were told you could just leave the key card on the bed and close the door - however we hadn’t been given our passport back. Reception was not open and the bar staff (who you are told to go to if reception is closed) claimed they couldn’t open reception because they were at the bar (it was 9 o’clock in the morning, the bar wasn’t open). We phoned the number given for the resort and there was no answer. Reception and phone lines are unmanned all morning so you cannot get any help. We were lucky that we were not leaving Berlin until the evening otherwise we would have been screwed. When we eventually got hold of the reception staff they claimed they didn’t have the passport and we had to prompt them to look. Then we had to make the journey back to pick up the passport which was a pain and wasted a lot of our time plus Metro ticket costs. The showers were pretty big however they only had one temperature which was BURNING hot.
It was a very modern place. There was a bar and volley ball courts which were always bustling and busy. Fun environment. A fan was provided in the room which helped keep it cool.

United KingdomWould be nice to have a screen or trellis for privacy, our room was right by the entrance and felt it was not very private. The rooms get HOT. A small fan is provided, but the door doesn't stay open on its own so had to keep propping it open with a shoe to allow a breeze in. Not enough bathrooms/sink space. The showers had broken hooks and one was blocked. You have to press the button every 15 seconds for water. If you go to the bar you have to pay a 2euro deposit on your beer glass.
Close to the underground and train station. A few restaurants and supermarket near by. There is a bar on site. Bathrooms were kept clean. Even though the rooms are small there is a shelf for storage and room under the bed.

GermanyExtremely loud, the walls are not better sound isolated than a tent. There are lots of people outside during the night and it feels like they are talking and laughing right beside your bed. Also, storage of luggage is not possible when arriving early or leaving late.

DenmarkWay too much noice friday night - EY had a huge company party right next to the cubes at the MountMitte, with insane loud partymusic from 8 pm to 2-3 am in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. It would be good to be warned about WHEN there are special events at the BeachMitte or MountMitte, because when there is, people who have rented the Cubes will get no sleep whatsoever.
The whole beach theme of the place - it was like an oasis in the middle of the big city. Loved it!! Great location - just 5 minuttes on a Tier scooter and I was there. Simple, clean room :-)
