Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe have no complaints, we loved staying at Hotel an der Donau!
We loved everything about Hotel David an der Donau! We stayed on the 4th floor in two beautiful rooms with big beams, wonderful wood floors and views of the Danube. The decor was rustic yet elegant and the beds were more than comfortable. These rooms are called the "sporty" rooms because you have to walk up many steps to get to them, but to us it was well worth it! Yes, the wood floors creaked when you walked on them and yes, the shower water splashed in the bathroom a bit, but again, we loved everything about these unique rooms so this didn't bother us at all. And, I haven't even mentioned the location. It was perfectly situated so we could walk everywhere in the old town of Regensburg. If you are looking for a hotel that is charming and has an historic background, look no further, this is definitely the one!

United KingdomIt was only 26 degrees when we visited but we sweltered in our room at night. It was not hot enough for the hotel to turn on the air con but the mattresses are enveloped in thick plastic covers which make you very hot. Also our fridge was not working which meant our pints of milk kept going off ( we Brits need our cups of tea!) we reported the fridge problem but it was not sorted during our week's stay.
This is a spacious hotel in the centre of Fussen and very convenient for the train station and bus hub. The room was very quiet and clean and the breakfast selection was excellent - you could even have strawberries from the chocolate fountain. Downstairs during the day there is an excellent cake shop and ice cream counter. On arrival we were given a Fussen card which gave us free travel on all buses and trains for some distance (it's part of your city tax). We even got to Kempten for free! (90 minute travel). The buses to take you to Neuschwanstein Castle and the Tegelberg, are from along the road outside the station - go early as they and the castles fill up pretty quickly. Lots of places to eat in the town and the castle and cathedral are worth a visit too.

Czech RepublicHotel David is the dependence of hotel Goliash where the reception is working. There is no lift, and the guest should walk to the Goliath for breakfast as well. When receptionist saw that we are disabled she immediately offered us the accommodation in main, more comfortable hotel. The helped us with parking as well!

United StatesThe bathroom had a glass door so there was no privacy from anyone else in the room. No reason to have a door at that point.
Wonderful charm in this old historic building. The rooms were unique with an old historic feel yet updated with modern conveniences.

CanadaIt was not a big factor for our stay but there did not appear to be elevators, just the interesting winding staircase to the third floor. The suite did not initially have arrangements for coffee or tea such as a kettle, cups or coffee maker. The very responsive staff did promptly bring a set when asked. Next time I would ask for a river side suite if possible. The street view is OK but we were awakened by some 2 AM Thursday night youth on the street below. Could be a bigger problem in summer since the unit did not appear to have AC.
Appointments were unique and complimented the restoration themes of his historic building beside the Danube. Excellent sized bathroom and shower. Very clean. Interesting old world feel with up to date furnishings. Very close to the main tourist and shopping sites. Lots of interesting restaurants near by. Viking River cruise dock is within walking distance.

United StatesIt was a little hard to find and the instructions that the other hotel where the staff were was "next door" was a little misleading, as they were a street away. Parking was a little complicated but the staff helped with that.
Beautiful old building nicely updated inside; lots of character with old wooden floors. Amazing how many useful electrical outlets you were able to put in. Bathroom was very nice. We liked the location. Very helpful staff, especially with all our bags.
