Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayThe building is located at a busy road, and due to the lack of air conditioning, we had to have the windows open. Felt like sleeping on a highway, exhaust smell included. Also, the place is quite far out from the city centre and the train station. We won’t stay again here, mainly because of the noise and the inconvenient location.
Nice and clean apartment, everything is new and well kept

United StatesThere is NO air conditioning and it was nearly 90f when we arrived. Bob the virtual host told us to get a fan out of the common laundry room (free laundry machines! what a great concept, including an electric clothes dryer perhaps the only such machine in Bavaria). There were no fans there. Bob was informed and said he would work on finding one. I checked an hour later and there was a fan. I don’t know if Bob found it as he didn’t inform me but it helped until a big thunderstorm arrived at 1am and dropped the temperature into the 60’s where it belongs. Bob is all about Green & Sustainable but this customer wants to sleep comfortably so AC is essential—not an option. Street noise makes it hard to ventilate using open windows.
It is a fully automated hotel. No staff. The app makes everything work at top speed so download it before you arrive. I like this automated internet enabled concept. The room was near new, very modern and up to date. Super clean. Everything worked. Plumbing is modern, WiFi is strong. Location on a busy street makes window open cooling a noisy affair. Parking is free in two surface lots that bookend the building. We could see our car from the window. Town center is 3 blocks away. Stein Center shopping mall is 1/4 mile up the hill grocery, bakery, dept store and other shops, free garage parking too.

Austriathere was no fan in the room and it was quite warm. without an insect screen, we did not want to sleep with the window open (the mosquitos are extremely bad this year after the flooding); the bedsheet did not fit the mattress and barely covered the mattress; the window shade was broken so we could not fix it in the open position. there was no mini-fridge
good communication with host; nice and clean bathroom

HungaryNo breakfast, no personnel, overcomplicated room entrance with mobile phone despite cost cutting effect it is not convenient at all for the guests.. Not enough parking lots. Instead of a photo apparat, and other uninterpretable interior junks like plastic bottles for water, yoga matresses the garden could be kept in better shape. One curtain missed in the room which may be a long story since i read that in the other reviews. (we solved it with a student method tough)
Good sound insulation thank to 3 layer windows. It was however needed since the hotel is next to a main road and a beer factory.

The booking process and the check in without reception is uncomplicated, everything worked well. The towels are super fluffy

United StatesThis was solely a room. Because we were traveling with a group, I missed a lobby and somewhere we could gather/socialize. Our room, 15, was incredibly small compared to the others in our group. We lost power from 10pm - 1am before our flight and I was worried about devices being charged for the day. There was no backup power. We stayed here to be close to the airport for a morning flight - it was fine. Lodging was clean and modern but as a visitor to Germany I missed the charm of a local German hotel.
Rooms were very clean. Loved the minimalist design. Price was great.

South AfricaAs above
The room turned out to be a loft and would be suitable for one person. For a couple it was small (17 sq metres but this was mainly taken up with the furnishings. There is no chair other than where one would place a small suitcase, especially as the roof is slanted in such a way as one could possibly bang one’s head if you sat up too quickly in bed ( on one side of the double bed) . Our room was situated on the second floor at the top of a very narrow steep staircase which would be fine if one had little or no luggage. The room was superficially clean. The only window was small and we found it very hot and stuffy.

CanadaIt was like an oven inside the room. No AC. The windows could be opened but being on a ground floor very close to a busy street was not ideal at night. It was so hot that we had to take a shower in the middle of the night to cool off. The interaction with the management was good.. all messaging. but very fast responses. I strongly recommend installing some sort of AC. One more point.. The entry is via phone only.. if you forget your phone in room, you will be in bring trouble.
Hard to comment.. The qualify of the room finishings, the bed, kitchenette, bathroom, flooring, etc were all very good. But... reach the negative section...

United StatesGuest support service and communication was lacking at a critical time, check-in! You have to be available and responsive to check-in issues in a timely fashion. You published telephone/WhatsApp contact numbers that were either out of date or simply did not function making it difficult to reach you.
Excellent facilities in a nice area.

CanadaThe automated “confirmation” was a bit of a pain. On Booking it said “confirmed” but another email confirmation was required and because of that I did not get a proper code. Then the room opening system did not work, luckily an assistant of the owner was in the area and helped me get in and gave me a card. But if all this happened late at night it would have been quite bad. Also, no fridge to put any food. What I didn’t like the most was a yellow spot on the bad together with some hair. If these issues are addressed it’s a good hotel.
I likes the quiet, nice room. Relatively close to the airport although the taxi is almost 40 Euros each way.

CanadaDifficulty in checking in on line ..other guests had the same problem .. nobody on staff present. Taxi drivers do not like coming to the village or for pick ups early AM .. not an airport hotel!
The property itself .. the room with kitchen facilities lovely.. clean.. hardly there .. no guidance as to restaurants etc. Even when asked.

United StatesHotels are not suppose to be Air BNB’s. It’s to modern and to confusing. No front desk. No staff. Shower was clogged. I had to clean the water leak. No AC. It’s 2023. Maybe Germans don’t like Ac but everyone else does. Here is the kicker. No way what so ever to catch a taxi to the airport. I had to walk to a real hotel and ask them to call me a taxi. I’m sorry. Cool idea but we are not ready for this type of service and I don’t think we will be.
The design and look.

AustraliaBuilding was stifling hot. no aircon which we didn't notice at booking. all windows doubled glazed but hotel is on a main freeway access road so heavy traffic all night which meant a choice between noise and airflow. Plus we looked into a carpark
Smart modern rooms and access is all via tech which is good so long as you have data roaming coming from OS. 1 km from central Freising

PolandThe place is very noisy if you keep the windows open and is too warm with the windows closed. There is no elevator to access the upper floors. The stay was was for 4 days. The television was not working and I tried to contact via chat. The only response I received was they will contact the team and get back to me but never got any further response. I stayed in apartment number 17. There was no privacy in the bathroom due to the design of window and there is no curtain for the bathroom window. The place has no physical keys. It puts an additional pressure to keep the phone charged while you are visiting nearby places as a tourist. The rooms can be opened only by clicking the button provided in the link and you will be locked out if your phone is switched off.
The place was clean and well furnished. There are multiple grocery shops within 10 minutes walk. The kitchen is well equipped.

United StatesThe shower didn't drain well. It's a hassle to open the door, you have to use your cell phone every time, there is no pin pad or key. Don't book this room if the temperature in Freising is over 25 grad Celsius, there's no AC and if you open the window there's street traffic noise. The mattress was comfortable but very noisy when you moved.
Location, room size. Large bathroom If you only want to stay a couple days it's a good place but I don't recommend it for a longer than 3-4 day stay.

Switzerland- Be aware there is NO front desk, NO lobby, NO accessible toilet without hotel room access, NO luggage storage etc. available. 6 parking lots are at the side, but NOT guaranteed and often occupied. Despite description (copied from booking.com page): "A recently renovated condo hotel, Bob W Peterhof offers accommodation in Freising. This condo hotel provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk, and free Wifi. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and daily room service for guests." - WA contact and re-routed phone call from a german phone number, i found hidden in the emails, to only English speaking personnel, probably in Estonia (WA number is also Estonian). - Asking for an access to toilets or a changing room to dress up for an official service, we were denied 2 hours before the required access, although asked the evening before already. It has to be said, that they claimed to try to give us access to another room. But since nobody is present, this was not possible according the friendly lady on the phone... We only needed an access to a toilet for my wife really. - Entering the Hotel door was working ok with 4-digit passcode. Access to rooms is very fiddly and not working all the time. You need to have data/roaming on your phone to access a special homepage (supplied link) to switch open your door via smart phone. No battery, no phone, no data contract NO luck to enter your room. - WiFi access was not available at first. No information in email at all, Wifi name which indicated to Bob W. Peterhof (what a name btw...) was given. After contacting via WA again, they informed us that the WiFi is from former owner and is "Charly's" (unsecured, password-free open/free WLAN). First thing it asked for a Code(!?) which later wasn't required anymore. No more to say. My wife couldn't use the room key at first because the lacking Wifi access.
Room including small kitchen, cooking utensils, coffee machine etc. Very clean, spacy for a couple and newly renovated. Nice beds and bathroom. Contact was difficult to make, but once established they were friendly and seemed to try to help without success though... but see negative feedback for details.

United StatesCheck in was very difficult for a group. We got in through the door code, but the extensive check in process online took us quite a while to figure out because we had multiple rooms on the same reservation. We could not get ahold of anyone on several occasions neither by phone, messaging or email. I also tried to contact the property regarding transportation to the airport weeks before the check in, (which they stated online that they had, but did not) but received no reply. On the final check out day (after we had checked out) we did receive a phone call that went through booking.com. At that point the customer service was nice and helpful as we thought we left something in the room, but had no way to get ahold of anyone to get back in. Customers should also be aware that you may be on the 3rd floor without an elevator. Not easy for older adults. Customer service should be more accessible when working with the public. It was very frustrating.
Rooms were well maintained, with nice kitchen area and bathroom facilities. Only had one chair at a table.
