Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

When checking in a woman, please DO NOT say out her room number. It really creates an unsafe situation, where she can feel compromised. So please just hand the key card, and just say something like, have a good stay

Nothing in particular.
I only stayed for one night during a short business trip, so I can't say too much about this hotel. The experience I had was great. It's a rather typical German hotel. No frills, a bit cold (atmosphere, not temperature) but perfectly efficient, very clean and quite comfy.

Everything was fine for a short stay, although if I were there to visit Hamburg, I wouldn't stay so far outside of the the city. We were just meeting friends for an evening who live in the area. The bar isn't comfortable, and no snacks available. I wouldn't plan on spending any time there. Only one small bottle of water in the room and no refrigerator.
The room was large, with a good desk and chair. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had a nice stand-in shower. It was a little on the worn side, but perfectly fine for a one-night stay. The breakfast (Sunday) was very good although it would be nice to be able to order from a menu in addition to the buffet.

My husband and me were surprised over the high parking price. Last time we were there parking was much cheaper.

1- The room doesn't have a fridge. I didn't expect the 4 stars hotel doesn't have a fridge. 2- The hotel doesn't have a sofa bed for children. 3- The breakfast was not perfect.Sunday breakfast was good but on Monday was not good as Sunday.

Fantastic Stay at Dorint Hotel Hamburg! Just got back from an amazing 3-night stay at Dorint Hotel Hamburg this July. Wow, what a great experience! First off, the staff here are absolute superstars. AmirReza at the front desk greeted us with the biggest smile and made sure we had everything we needed. Anytime we needed something in our room, they were on it in a flash. Our room was comfy and had all the modern touches you'd want. The breakfast was a feast every morning in a really nice setting. But here's what really blew us away: Amir and the team went above and beyond, acting like our personal tour guides. They gave us awesome tips for exploring Hamburg and even hooked us up with a free ticket to St. Michael's Church tower! When it was time to leave, Nadine at the desk made our check-out super quick and easy. Location-wise, it's perfect for zipping around Hamburg. Oh, and they've got a gym and spa if you're into that. If you're heading to Hamburg, I recommend to stay at Dorint. It's not just a hotel, it's like staying with that super-helpful friend who knows all the best spots.

The pillows were too soft for my liking but that is just a small change.

We expected to be able to park, but were rather shocked at the price. No other complaints. No other complaints. No other complaints.
The room was a good size, clean, with a lovely comfortable large bed. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of delicious food. Helpful staff. Location is good for the Hagenbeck Zoo.

Quality of Wifi signal was sometimes a bit lower.
Nice relatively new hotel in Eppendorf, close to University hospital (UKE) and Eppendorf park. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Some corners in my room, especially the bathroom could be cleaned better (nothing too bad, just dust build-up on the little magnifying mirrow, on the door hinges...). The lack of staff which leads to not offering the full menu on sundays is unfortunate. The menu could offer a bit more variety of healthy foods.
The rooms are nice, the staff very freindly and helpful und the sauna is a high light :)
