Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Very thin walls. Had very little sleep due to neighbours having VERY LOUD sex and being loud in general until 5 in the morning....

There is a garderobe in the room, but no hangers for clothing… the lighting and the power outlets are not optimal. Early morning noise from the tram (can’t be avoided)

Noise and the smell from the Jean restaurant carried in to the lobby and a bit upstairs.
We were in a front room and it was very noisy due to the train.

Main light bulb was not working and there could have been instructions on how to close blinds which were build in with the windows very hard to turn, smell from kebab shop was sometimes over powering when you came in and upstairs to your room.

conservative access system: one metal key to get into the building, then another key to open the door to your room. ATTENTION! Don't forget to immediately insert the key from the inside and secure the lock, as there is no other way to restrict access (at least in our room). There is also a positive effect for absent-minded people - if you forgot your key in the room and slammed the door, it is still open)

Good location close to U-Bahn stop. Comfortable room and external bathroom was located right across the hall. Friendly staff and easy check in.

Had to position the door to my room in a specific way if I wanted to turn the key. Wifi isn't the greatest, I was using a laptop and it was a bit slow, otherwise on the phone it was good. Bathroom also smelled a bit but it's tolerable.
Right opposite the station where I could take the tram going to Hbf and also directly to the airport. Mattress was comfortable, pillows were a bit too soft. Staff were very nice and answered all my queries.

Room gets very humid in second half of May. That leads to a very hot room. A wall ventilator is there but it is not enough. Bathroom has no air extractor.
Good location. Solid noise isolation despite room being in front of traffic-intensive street.

Sign outside asked to ring the doorbell to open the door but after ringing for a few minutes nobody answered, had to call in to get inside. The street noise due to the tram made sleeping somewhat difficult even with the windows closed
Right next to a tram station, bakery, supermarket and about 10 mins walking distance from central Stuttgart. Room was small but clean and decently maintained, for a stay over in Stuttgart it's a good value.

The bathroom could be better, it looks a bit old. But it's useful. Reception's working hours are not 24 hours.
The hotel was clean. The room was warm. There is a tram stop in front of it. Thus, it is very easy to go to both the airport and the train station. Less than 10 minutes walking to Königstraße.

We were on a family trip and stayed 3 nights in the hotel. During out stay there was no hot water to take a shower. We constantly asked the staff but they could not fix it. They said since it is weekend it is hard to reach the technician, however they knew about us coming beforehand and could have made sure the facilities were functioning. We also asked for our 2 rooms to be cleaned when we were outside (by placing the sticker on the green side) but only one of the rooms was cleaned. I believe that for the price we paid, such complain should not exist.
The location is great. Central and close to many restaurants, supermarkets and bars. Transportation was also good. The airport train passes next the hotel. The staff was friendly and available. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The bathroom is outside the room. it was a bit uncomfortable, but I knew that it was outside. There was no pair of slippers. I would have appreciated it considering that I constantly crossed the corridor to enter the bathroom.
The location was simply perfect! It was clean and neat
