Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Owner or receptionist is simply amazing! I arrived at the hotel about 1 am after a long day of travel and he helped me with my suitcase and had a lovely chat 10/10. Room is nice, clean, bed is comfortable and bathroom was clean and nice.

The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything. Additionally no toiletries for the shower is annoying.
For the money you’re not going to beat this hotel. Great location, easy check in and good standard of room for the price

A kettle to make tea/coffee would be most welcome.
Always a warm welcome at the 24 hour reception. Perfect location- a few minutes walk from Opernhaus U- Bahn and the Altstadt; 7-10 minutes walk to the Hauptbahnhof. Comfy bed & excellent shower pressure.

Maybe the only thing: it would be nice to have liquid soap in the shower.
It is one of the best hotels I have stayed at recently. I stayed in a small room, but it had all the necessary amenities. One socket was near the bed and the others were beside the table. I really liked that the bed was not tightly made - there was no tucked-in bedspread, just a duvet and a pillow. The people at the reception were simply fantastic. They gave me an electric kettle and instant coffee. My room was also very quiet and warm. The location is excellent, near the railway station and the old town. Highly recommended!

i would have liked hot drink facilities in the room and i couldn't see any wifi when I logged on, but it might not have been showing> for me that should be a given for any hotel now.
This is a basic hotel, but they do it well. It is very welcoming, immaculately clean, well presented and has very friendly staff. the breakfast was very good, well laid out and a good selection in a clean nice dining room.

Late arrival and early departure do not provide much space for observations or comments. That even more when the sleep is immediate and good. All of that speak well about Fackelmann

No complaints!
A welcoming hotel, clean and comfortable, and not too far to walk from Nuremberg Hbf station. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the TV had many channels in several languages. The room price was very reasonable compared to other nearby hotels. There is an excellent Chinese restaurant just around the corner and a service station opposite the hotel serves very nice coffees and breakfast snacks.

The staff were very welcoming, let us check in much earlier than 4 pm, there is parking on site which is 12 euros per night and as we were only there one night we used that but apparently there is free parking 5 minutes walk away . The room was warm and clean with lovely white fluffy towels, the shower was excellent.

Nothing, everything was fine.
Lovely hotel with a family run feel (don’t know if it was). The breakfast was great & good value at 13€. The check in was the fastest I’ve ever had (quick look at my passport). The reception staff were amazing- really friendly & helpful. Great stay & highly recommended.
