Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CroatiaMicrolocation of the hostel is quite bad, being in the heart of red light districts gives you close look into the worst part of the Frankfurt city, leaving you npt feeling so safe when you walk out into the street. Cleanliness and supply of fresh air is something they could work on, both in the common area, and esspecially in the bathrooms and toilets.
The common area is well equipped with a pool, foosball, board games.

UkraineThere are street scum/beggars outside on the street. And they annoy passers-by. It can be scary to come back to the hostel at night.

United KingdomThe window seat on the Red Light district was a bit surreal! I really liked that the hostel made a point of saying this was their location, but it wasn't a problem, just very convenient. Nice hostel. Good location, nice people, great breakfast.

United KingdomThis place is in the red light district -- this is fine as long as you don't engage with the many dodgy people around here! However, it is very close to the central station and quite convenient for travelling!
I love how friendly the staff were, and there were many events on most days during my stay!

GermanyThe area is horrible, but that is something that you are already warned about when booking, so I was mentally prepared. My bedsheets were torn apart in several places, they definitely require the new ones
The hostel is close to the train station, perfect for 1 night sleep. Good value for money, especially since I was alone in my room. Breakfast was decent and the staff was really friendly. They have a lot of lockers in the basement for leaving your things.

BelgiumPrice is not small for special area and simple amenities but still best for a short term stay waiting for a train.
My bunk bed was the only one in use, so had effectively a single room, better than expected! Very central location was great, nightlife outside did not harm my sleep. Lobby with food, drinks, seats was inviting and a plus. Very friendly staff.

United StatesThe neighborhood -- you're stepping over people smoking drugs on the sidewalk and it's loud on weekends. I'm not crazy about how they have variable pricing instead of a fixed rate; it works well for the company, no doubt, but can make it hard to plan for budget travelers.
They clean daily and do a better, more thorough job than any other hostel in the area. Rooms (dorm) are large enough to not feel crowded by people or suitcases. Lockers are the biggest in the area as well. Staff are good at their jobs AND friendly, two things other hostels struggle with.

CyprusThe downside was the location, the neighborhood had a concerning number of drug atticks and homeless people, making nighttime walks feel insecure. Moreover, the kitchen had its quirks – a small fridge and a sluggish ceramic heating surface that tested my patience when preparing meals. Overall, a decent stay but with some noteworthy drawbacks.
The accommodation offered a clean environment with a pleasant atmosphere and a friendly staff.

PortugalThe location is in red light area and the surroundings are not hygienic. You have to pay attention while walking on the streets specially in night.
The location is nearby to the central station of Frankfurt. If you are coming by Flix bus , the bus station is next to the central station, so you can reach to the hostel in 10 minutes of walking. Other touristic place e.g Opera, Christmas Markets are all nearby.
