Great little pension right next to the English Garden. Very friendly owner, good self-service system for checking in and out. Very quiet neighborhood but at the same time close to the action at Munich Freiheit.

The temperature is a little hard to control, but it’s no bud deal.

The guesthouse is the definition of charming. We had no desire to go to Europe and stay in someplace like a Marriott. This ticked all the boxes for us. The location is perfect. We loved being right on the edge of the city park with a cute pub across the street. A beautiful and quiet area walkable to restaurants and train stations. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We took taxis and trains everywhere we went with no issues.

It is a pity that no breakfast is provided, although the very nice dining room with free coffee and tea facilities, together with the overall old-style ambience surrounds the guest with a cozy "home feel"

This is a wonderful family-owned hotel. Every detail in its design is well thought-of, the spacious room had a fantastic view to a near-by lake. The location is just perfect, and the team is extremely welcoming. Highly recommended!

This is a magnificent hotel/guesthouse. It is in a superb location just outside Munich and has so much to offer. The owners are wonderful people and take great care of the guests. The staff really look after the guests and made us feel at home.

Nothing. Perhaps street noise as the building is located right next to the English Gardens and there is a tavern across the road, but this noise was very minimal and stopped around bedtime. I am not a fan of shower curtains but the shared bathroom was very clean otherwise

There's a lovely heritage feel starting from the exterior of the building all the way to the individual furniture pieces in my room. Staff were very friendly and very accomodating to families. They even gave me a chocolate St. Nicholas as a Christmas gift!

Charming neighborhood. The house was welcoming. We loved staying in a older building. The garden and coffee room were lovely. The trail into the Englisher Garden was only steps away and an easy walk to the biergarten on the lake. We enjoyed the traditional Bavarian restaurant across the street and bakery a short walk away. The staff was welcoming and helpful.

I can't think of anything I would change.

Historic home that was updated fully without loosing its charm. Very comfortable and the staff was great and provided us with the history behind this Manson and surrounding park / garden. I highly recommend this home away from home as we will definitely return to it. Oh yes, there is a wonderful Beer Garden and restaurant across the street - good food, cocktails and service.

Only that I couldn't get this review out sooner: I wanted for nothing during this stay, despite my jetlag - everything in my experience was perfect :)

The host and staff were the kindest, amiable people in helping me get my bearings and recommendations for my stay :) The entire layout was the perfect cozy getaway. My room provided an excellent view, and the garden retreat was idyllic in a way that made me feel settled immediately in a home away from home. Perfectly located on the edge of the Englischer Garten with good metro access and many top-notch places to eat and drink. Originally booked for two nights, glad I took a second pass and extended. My thanks to the hosts: I will gladly visit again when in Munich again!

Beautiful place, with fantastic hosts. Biergarten right across the street, you’re in the English Garden, with a stream flowing through the backyard. What’s not to love..!

There was nothing I didn't like. The only suggestion I have is to add a handle in the shared shower downstairs to make it easier and safer to step out.

Great location, comfortable bed, and kind staff. The intimate atmosphere made the stay especially pleasant.

One of the twin beds had a very uncomfortable mattress. It would have been nice to have been offered a Continental breakfast? We would happily have pre paid for this service when we booked.

The location was delightful, set within the Englischer Garten where you could walk through to access the city. There are also bars and shops close by. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Bathrobes and slippers were also provided which was really thoughtful as we had the economy room so had to use the bathroom elsewhere. Fresh coffee and tea was also accessible 24/7 which was a great idea. The provision of an Honesty Bar and use of the kitchen to make picnics was another plus factor.

With no air conditioning, the windows has to stay open and with no screens, bugs were everywhere in our room (given the proximity to the gardens no surprise).

This is not your standard hotel of B&B! It is a beautiful historic building on a canal with a beautiful garden out back and the kindest owner you'll ever meet :) There is no breakfast offered, and it is staffed part-time, both of which are fine by me. There was a wide selection of tea and coffee available. There was also a fridge stocked with beer, water, milk for coffee, and wine available. This place suited me perfectly, I wish all hotels/ were like this. On top of that, it was almost 1/4 the price of nearby hotels and the wifi was fantastic both inside and in the garden.
