My friends came late with the plane and I went to pick them up at the door and the security kept asking me questions because they thought they were not guests. Also a fire alarm triggered at like 9AM but nobody seemed to care about it so it was just an annoying sound. I guess someone smoked in the room or something.

The hotel part of Generator is very clean, tidy, and new. It's perfect for a short stay.

There was a big difference between men and women showers on our floor (6), found out asking my boyfriend. So in the women's shower there was no possibility to brush the teeth and wash the face or hands with warm water, because for every sink there were two far separated taps (one with almost iced water and another with almost boiling). And even though the shower was really clean, it was pretty uncomfortable because there was no shower head, only some holes and water was just splashing out of it. In the men's shower everything was adequate.

Good location. Maybe the cleanest hostel I've ever slept in. The staff is nice, some of them are incredibly nice.

It's typical low cost accomodation. Not very comfortable but fair according to the price.

the bathroom/shower were a bit cramped, and angled awkwardly, which wasn't super comfortable. also, i expected the room to be a tiny bit bigger - the space at the foot of the bed made it hard to get to the other side without climbing over the bed altogether. also, some guests would get quite loud in the evenings, but there's nothing that can be done about that. also, not sure if it was guests or some safety feature, but the door handle was tried every single night of the stay, which would make me jump. overall, all of these are minor issues, and didn't really affect my stay.

location was great (well connected and near to where i needed to be), staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and comparing to other rooms available at that time in the area, the price was very good too. there's a shop located right outside, fast food nearby, and the entry to the tram also 2 minutes away, which is very convenient. everything perfectly suited what i was hoping for during the trip -- quiet, easily reachable place where i could work during the day and come back only to sleep during the night. easily recommendable, if you're just looking for a nice room, but nothing fancy

The shower head was placed at an awkward angle, had a very narrow spray and couldn't be moved, which made it troublesome to shower. The actual shower space was cramped, squeaky and slippery, but it's manageable.

The rooms were clean and it was easy to find them. The hallways and lobby were clean and organised. While the bathroom was tiny, it was clean and had what was needed. The easy access to public transit was an absolute delight. The ventilation in the room was adequate and the windows could be opened for fresh air. The room's size has been optimised. We were in rooms 115 and 116. Having to be either buzzed in or use your keycard regardless of the time of day was a nice security measure, along with the security guards being present at all times.

The bathrooms were almost every day clogged, a little bit dirty, some guests are really loud, perhaps a door sign that tells you not to close the doors too hard at night.

Comfy bedrooms, really nice location in Front of the Landsberger alle Bahn, easy to get to, close to REWE and fast food restaurants.

The room was smal the bathroom and toilet are far from the room. In the shower the dush is super weird

Plenty of people very busy place and very big.. if you traveling alone and you want to meet people maybe its better to search for other kind of place.

The cards that were supposed to be opening the door to the room, to the ladies/gents and the door to the corridor were constatly failing. We were on the reception at least twice a day with some problem. Apparently there’s some problematic system and it was slightly annoying.

Close to the centre, clean beds, all in all very OK.
