Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

1. There was no Drinking Water in Room 2. Breakfast Room was too crowded and they didn’t check whether the people are staying there. I meant there was no one to ask our room number before entering the Breakfast room.
It was my 2nd Time in H2. It is good overall. I prefer it for the location.

Rude, ignorant staff that refused to speak English even though they know how to. Left me stand there for minutes just to buy a drink because they knew I didn't speak German. The entire community of Leipzig treated me this way! I even tried to speak one of the other 4 languages I know and that didn't help!
Close to the train station. That's about it. Just like the rest Leipzig, and Germany for that matter, they are rude to people who do not speak German! I was treated horribly by everyone except one young, maybe in her 20s with brown hair, woman when I checked out in the morning. Other than that, nobody even acknowledged me, left me standing at the counter to buy a drink and didn't come over until another GERMAN woman showed up to buy a drink! The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, no frills. Just a place to lay your head for the night. Thankfully that's all I had to was stay 1 night. I speak 4 languages, unfortunately German isn't 1 of them. Sorry people, I can't learn every language! So make sure you know the language before staying here! The basics don't help either, you need to learn the full language!

The pillows could be larger. , breakfast was delicious but very basic and restaurant layout is a bit cumbersome for buffet style, especially when it gets busy. Although ithas a smart TV in the room, no option to cast or use any streaming services.
Perfect location. Very clean. Modern design. We enjoyed our stay.

Nothing. Would happily stay here again next time I’m in Leipzig.
Location is great, room is good, excellent value. Staff friendly and helpful. Amazing how crowded breakfast area became but one thing I thought was excellent was that they had a special area for solo travellers so you didn’t feel bad about taking up a whole table. Breakfast was also good.

It’s said that the bar and kitchen is open 24/7, in reality we asked for a drink around 11pm-12am and everything was already closed.
The location is perfect, 7 min by walk to the city center and 1 min to railway and bus stations. The breakfast is good, has everything necessary. The room is cozy, clean and comfortable.

There is a great parking garage close by - 15 euros per night. Still, if you’re travelling with a roof rack, note that the clearance is rather low and you will have to use a car park for RVs, which is about 700-800 meters away. Anyway it is naturally not the hotel’s fault :)

Quite noisy in the morning in the Room from the traffic. Hotel located near the Railway Station so you can bump on homeless people , drug and alcohol addicts….
Close to the Old Town. Nice breakfast with helpfull catering staff.
