Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe Ibis Styles Aschaffenburg provided a clean, modern, and comfortable stay. The room was well-designed and spacious, perfect for a short stopover. The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out hassle-free. The breakfast was a great start to the day with a good variety of options. United StatesThere is currently construction behind the hotel. I wonder about the construction noise; I was there on the weekend so can’t tell since no work going on during the weekend. Price of beverages.
Location, in city center and walking distance to train station yet quiet.

Czech RepublicThis was our second stay at the hotel. The first time the staff were very friendly and helpful, whilst this time the arrival was at best neutral. They have started charging extra for early check-ins, so when we arrived an hour early we couldn't check in and the check-in when we finally could do it was OK, but felt entirely transactional - sometimes it might be good to make guests feel welcome. But I would still return, and some other staff were friendly enough.
The hotel is very close to the railway station and to parking garages. It is also only a very short walk from the centre of town. The room was fine for an overnight stay, and the bathroom was spacious, with a large and excellent shower cubicle with non-slip flooring and well-designed wooden finish to the floor and around the sink. It was very quiet. The breakfast was good. It is about five minutes walk or so to the old town, and Aschaffenburg is a very pleasant town to walk around.

GermanyBreakfast selection could have been better. We found the choice of sausage and cheese poor. There were boiled eggs, fried small sausages and an omelet (which I can not stand). Could it be possible to simply fry some eggs as an add-on? We would enjoy salmon for breakfast much more, too. However, we are grateful to all those who work at the cafe or clean the facilities. Your work is priceless. Thank you again.
The hotel is in the walking distance from the railway station. We were able to check-in 3 hours before the official check-in time. The staff were friendly and the room appealed to us. It is good value for money. There are no kettles or coffee machines in the rooms, one can get a glass of water, coffee or tea at the reception cafe, for free.

Czech RepublicThe room we were in was quite small. We only stayed one night, which was fine, but any longer would be difficult as there is almost nowhere to store things. The bed was not that comfortable.
The hotel is very close to the station in Aschaffenburg, and only a fairly short walk from the centre of the city. Our room was quiet. The staff were helpful and kind. Aschaffenburg is definitely worth a visit, and for the price this is a good option of a hotel. There is parking opposite (a multi-story car park), where you can easily find a place, so it's simple to arrive by car. There is an ample bathroom. The breakfast was pretty good. Overall, I'd probably rate this about 8.2
