Vagrants sleeping rough on the street outside near the station

The location at night was at first a little intimidating as there were a couple of vagrants sleeping rough on the street. By the following day during daylight we then realised that the area was in fact not that bad and was largely residential. There are some really good restaurants and bars close by and it's literally a 10min tram ride into the Dresden Altstadt. You can walk it but it's 40mins in and 40mins back out.

Room too dark to read in bed. Poor choice in lighting. The corridors were very dark, probably supposed to be moody!

The lighting of the room was horrible, I wanted to work and I shorty thought I might be doing it in the bathroom because the lights there were better than the ones in the room. The darkness of the walls also didn't help. On a positive note, If you need pitch darkness to sleep here it's perfect. I've slept really well even at 20.30.

I really liked the place, it was quiet, the room was comfortable and rather clean for being an old building, the choice of food at breakfast was vast, the staff was also very nice.

Elevator was working very strangely (old one and need some repairs). On ground floor staff was going for a shot smoke. So everywhere (even in reception) you could feel cigarettes...

Only the location is a bit further, but if you don't mind walking it is also no problem.

breakfast for 13 euros was awful. Lots of food but all terrible, coffee was terrible. I would stay again but not take breakfast. To compare, the Ibis style Buttes aux Cailles in Paris has incredibly good breakfast (included in the room price) bathroom lighting was bad

Dark painted corridors. Not enough light / lamps in the room - in the evening it was dark. Would be great to have mosquitiere in the balcony entrance, to enable open the balcony door in the evening. You might have a challenge to find the parking space in the evening within the neighbourhood.

Big room on the last floor. . Access to balcony. Coffee and tea in the room. Good breakfast.

Soap near the hand washer wasn't filled during the cleanup. No flidge in our room (although our friends had). And I didn't notice an air conditioner (wasn't necessary during our stay but likely important during the summer).

Price was good and rooms were quite large. Location was not very far from the stations (our bus stop and the train station). And not so far from the center (25-30 min by walk+tram). Not very big choice of dishes for the breakfast but they were tasty, so I would prefer how it is than to pay more.

The area was a bit far from town but only had to walk up a few blocks to catch the Tran into town

No aircon- it was unbearable in the nights. I asked reception for a fan which they kindly gave me. It helped to get through the night however without it impossible. Beware the accomodation is cheaper to compensate for the no aircon.

It was not clear where the car could be parked. The personnel advices us to park the car in one of the surrounding streets but the road signs stated that between 7-17 parking was not allowed. This was very confusing. We had a room in the fifth floor without airconditioner. It was very humid and hot in the room and even the open windows did not helped a lot unfortunately. Further, the roof was skewed making the space very small and the fridge was only sufficient for 2 bottles of water. The location did not feel very safe, preferably to stay on altstadt the next time.

The personnel were nice but could not provide accurate information about parking.

Access to the old town is not that easy (at least on weekends), there is no A/C so the room was quite hot (but I think that is normal in Germany during summer)

The street is a bit noisy and with no air conditioning, closing the window was uncomfortable. A fan would have helped

Drive past it twice as it’s not traditionally marked but once we found it it was fine.

The shower didn’t drain water properly and it flooded the bathroom floor, however we informed the staff about it and it wasn’t a big issue as we were only staying for one night.

We had reserved a triple room and were expecting one room with three beds but were happy to find that we’d been given a room that had two separate double bedrooms with a shared bathroom. It was very comfortable. The hotel is also very conveniently located near an S-Bahn stop for travel in and out of Dresden, as well as near Dresden Neustadt station for longer distance trains.
