Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Fit for purpose. You may hear some traffic as close to station and busy roads.

I was accommodated on the first floor, and could hear all the noise from the station including train engines, announcements, and people shouting and fighting. It was very noisy even with windows closed. Moreover, the last 2 days the staff turned off the air conditioner because it was “the end of the hot season”. So, I had to endure either the noise or the heat. Almost all TV channels were in German. The shower cabinet was broken
The staff were very nice. The location was very convenient, just outside the train station, and in front of the Konzerthaus. The old town and all attractions were within 10-min walk.

It was a bit basic and didn't offer all this much besides the vicinity to the central station for the price it is asked to pay. But it was for one night so it was ok.
It is just outside the station, ideal for travelers, especially if they need to leave early in the morning. The bed was very comfortable.

Location is run down. Staff at arrival was very unfriendly to almost all guests. This Bald staff member was very unfriendly!! -This was not a good experience! After such a long drive and very uncomfortable parking situation. Parking was not a good location. Other staff also at breakfast were courteous.

Really quite pricey for the size of the room, I've stayed in equivalent hotels in Germany and other countries in Europe and paid less than a quarter of the price, also you could smell the drains in the shower
Convenient location, friendly staff, good for a quick stay in Freiburg if passing through or especially if you have an early train or a train arriving late at night

I have booked for 1 night for me and my daughter, when we arrived in the room there was no blanket for her... We tried to call the reception but the phone wouldn't work. At the reception we were told that we need to pay extra money for her breakfast, I was unpleasantly surprised, because I already booked for 1 adult + child (8 y.o.) with breakfast included (according to booking com). And the last but not least was that it is said that one may check out until 12. We had a bus at 12:05 so we planned to leave the room at 11:40. Nevertheless around 10:30 the door suddenly opened and the maid came in. We were again unpleasantly surprised. Weird experience.

There was no kettle in the room to make a hot drink and the restaurant was very stuffy even early in the morning (granted it was peak of summer)
The hotel is right by the bus/tram/train station and only a 5 min walk from the old town. We stayed on the 8th floor and could only hear an occasional ambulance not much more.The room although small had all the things one might need for a comfortable stay( mini fridge to cool your water/TV/ desk) The european breakfast bar catered for all breakfast needs.

there is no restaurant in the hotel and I need to walk around to find one. I did not find this restaurant very easily. But I found a good Italian restaurant where I enjoyed a nice meal and staff was very friendly.
