Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We arrived late by train; staff gave us great instructions for accessing our rooms after-hours and all went smoothly. Hotel is located straight down the street from the Spandau train station, so it is easy to find. Walk from the station felt safe at night. Building is older and a Pension (there are full-time residents and visiting guests). Rooms were clean and comfortable with balconies, updated baths, and mini-fridges. Beverages available for purchase in the lobby. Good variety at breakfast as shown in photos.

Every time someone in the pension uses the toilet or water tap you can very clearly hear the water flowing through the pipes. It didn't really bother me though
Access to Berlin city center was very good, breakfast was nice and the price was very low compared to hotels in city center

It was quiet and clean and the free breakfast in the morning was adequate. It doesn't look much from the outside but dont worry about that. The room was very restful and quiet. It's a great place for work or to bring your family

room size, mattress was pretty uncomfortable and the strong smell of cigarette in the lobby, gap underneath the door wouldn’t let the room to get warm
location is less than 1km from Spandu train station and the bus stop is right outside. Bathroom was good size and clean, complimentary Breakfast was good and plenty of choice.

No elevator. Old apartment. Clogged sink (broken plug that was not opening). Weird side entrance, i haven't seen the hotel lobby at all. Basically an apartment in an old building where you can crash for one night, but it was prepared for your arrival as much as possible.
It was old but clean. The heating worked, there was warm water, fridge in the room, the bathroom was okay.

Stronger light bulbs... are needed. Here and in every hotel I have stayed in.
Berlin is extremely expensive for me. So when my German friend suggested the Spandau area, we found.. Hotel Kallmeyer- I expected the conditions to be much worse. Yes the carpet is tired. But bed sheets and towels are new and clean. Breakfast is impressive. Eggs 4 or 6 kinds of meat, good cheeses, breads. Lots of coffee and milk. Even some fruit.

The location is quite far from the city center, but at least the bus/tram connection is ok. Personally (of course each to their own) I found the mattress way to soft for my back. I also prefer hotels with one building/location. No elevator.
The room was quite fine for the price. It was simple and clean but did not lack anything. Not the newest furniture, but all functioning. The staff was so nice though and I really liked the inclusion and variety of breakfast.
