The hotel staff quickly changed our room when we found the AC wasn't working.

This Novotel is very comfortable, however, I find the rooms a bit ''cheap'' - meaning, towels are really not very nice, the shower head broke and had to be fixed (although they fixed it very quickly, which I appreciated!) And I've stayed in the hotel twice in the last few months, and both times I had trouble charging my devices. Once I complained, it worked better, I don't really understand what the issue was - but it is weird. It's like they have extremely low voltage going to the plugs in the rooms. It's comfortable, but I find the hotel kind of the a similar quality to the Motel One, but the Motel One is better value for the money. Novotel's breakfast is much better than Motel One, but I think more than double the price.

I like the location, nice design hotel - and breakfast is wonderful, although the breakfast is really too expensive. (€25)The hotel is very comfortable, beds good nice size rooms and great decor. I also liked the free minibar offer.

Nothing comes to mind except the breakfast buffet was a bit expensive.

The family friendly aspects were a perk - toys and books in the lobby as well as friendly and accommodating staff.

the pillows are too flat. Despite sleeping on two it felt like sleeping on no pillow at all. The aircon is also used for heating. This was not se great as the humidity in the room dried out. It is also very loud. But when you turn it off the room is very cold (during the winter time). Maybe it would have been better to have floor heating or standard radiator.

The hotel seems to be brand new. Everything is clean. Loved that the room has no carpet. Free mini bar. Apples, tee and candy free at the lobby.

Breakfast choice could be a bit better

One can tell that the hotel was recently renovated, the room is great. Free minibar is a great add-on! It is right on the metro station which eases the commute!

One minor point was that we looked out onto a construction site, but it didn’t bother us (no loud noise or anything).

Great new room that looks like the plastic just got removed from everything, the room was spotless en looks brand new. Our room was really luxurious and the bed was extremely comfortable, also a nice big shower and some nice chairs to sit in.

Worst pillows ever! One tiny uncomfortable pillow per person didn’t make for a great sleep. Parking over night in the underground carpark was extra charged at a crazy rate of €20,00!

The room was comfortable, bathroom clean and has two shower modes, rain and handheld showerhead. We appreciated the free minibar. The location is also quite good and easily accessible by public transport.

3 stops from Karlsruhe Central station and just a short walk across from the Kongresszentrum station, which had lifts so luggage wasn’t a problem. Also a short walk (or train ride) away to the centre of town (where the Christmas markets were located). Clean and attentive and friendly staff.

The pillows are the only thing I'd mention here, it was too soft and not offering any neck/head support unfortunately.

Obviously renovated, the hotel looked brand new, not only the common areas but the room too. The bathroom is really nice, comfy chair in the good-size room next to the bed and comfy bed as well. Parking available. Very good breakfast options and bar just next to the reception area. The room was SPOTLESS clean and the staff at the check in very easy going and friendly. Less than 10min walking from the city's main station, easy to walk if you do not carry large luggage.
