Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room fairly small and priced quite high compared to other hotels we stayed at on our trip who all provided larger and better equipped rooms. Also no restaurant. Bar offered a very restricted set of very light meals and ‘snacks’ but surprised a hotel of that size and location had nothing more to offer.
Decent hotel with nicely designed and welcoming bar area and friendly staff. Location good for central station. Special mention for Jan, Juri and Fabriel who manned the bar. Very professional, helpful and a credit to establishment

It's not the hotel's fault but the building work at the station and surrounding roads means that getting to the hotel was an obstacle course.
We stayed one night and chose this hotel to be close to the main train station. The room was good; modern bathroom and really comfortable bed, with a nice window nook. Nice big but cosy bar area.

Rooms on the front of the hotel were very noisy without window fully shut. Always prefer fresh air to air conditioning but just a personal preference. Quite convenient location for most things but access to city centre via the underpasses were a bit confusing.
Good location for trains, Bit of a walk to the old town but otherwise very good hotel. Breakfasts were good, plenty of choice. Car park was convenient and not unreasonable price for city location

No air conditioner/ fan which sucked because the room was very hot at night.
The proximity to everything is very convenient. The staff were also lovely and let us check in earlier. The breakfast was also delicious and wide selection.

Selection at breakfast could have been a little better - a choice of hot food would have been great. Given the building work around the train station, some information on how to walk to the hotel on arrival would have been helpful. Aside from that, everything was good.
Clean, quiet and comfortable room with AC and free wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located for the station with a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of the city.

The room was only prepared for 1 person and we checked in late, no staff to give us an extra set of towels and comforter. No food or menu at the lounge or bar downstairs.
Location was good but difficult for pedestrians to cross from the HBF without making a big circle or going via the underpass. Very central anyway, which was great. New facilities. Appealing garden. Liked the day bed in the room.

No kettle in room for tea/ coffee . Would be nice to have a drink before starting the day without getting showered/ dressed to go to breakfast.
Open space with large seating area in reception. Comfy bed. Quiet. Reception staff very pleasant even though they were very busy!

The stuff was rude, we were just asking about the parking and they were not happy that we are spending their time. I don't expect to find a proper concierge in a basic hotel, but some minimum hospitality would be a nice touch. Also it was 3 of them there doing nothing, not like it was a busy check-in time.
This hotel is always providing consistency, in what you will find, that makes it very very nice. As always clean and comfortable. It's probably one of the safest choice while traveling through Germany if one is available.
