No TV in our bedroom. No refrigerator in our room. Heating system is very hard to operate. No instructions. No room service on the first day. We had to ask for it.

Very quick and efficient check in. A clean and tidy room and spacious bathroom. The biggest plus was the adjoining restaurant, good food, good and good service.

I could not find anything much to fault about the hotel or the service from the staff.

Excellent continental buffet breakfast with a very wide and varied selection. Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel was in a convenient location just a short walk from the DB and HSB railway stations, which was very useful as I arrived and departed by train and used both the DB and HSB train services to explore the Harz mountains region during my stay. Hotel has a beautiful period interior with clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent bar and restaurant. As I had advised the hotel that I would be arriving late in the evening to check in to the hotel the staff had left my room card in a key safe outside the entrance and sent me the pin number to open this by text message.

I’m fully aware that Americans use air conditioning more than Europeans. But, my room was 87 degrees when I went to bed and 83 when I woke up. I asked for a fan but they didn’t have one. Just know that if you are used to sleeping in a 75 degree room and it’s warm out, you may have a hard time getting a good nights sleep. Yes, I had the windows open despite the street noise.

parking garage was good but is detached from the hotel and a 5 minute walk to get to/from it.

Breakfast looked and smelled very good, but we weren't very hungry and the cost was 20 euro per person.

Restaurant was closed when we arrived after 9pm and the bar shut at 10pm I understand why as there were only two of us at the bar.

It was about 27 degrees and the room had no AC, there was a noisy construction site in the morning, but we did not want to close the windows.

Nothing particular. Parking was a little bit tricky because of the construction site in the back. But if you ask you can park in the parking house right beside and get a free p ticket to use. Just make sure to ask before leaving so you don't have to pay for the parking yourself

Cheap. It was clean. All I needed for a one night stay. Good quality on everything. Everything in order. So I can highly recommend it.

One member of staff at the hotel restaurant was very rude. First he claimed the restaurant was fully booked. My husband however managed to book a table and when the waiter saw me entering the restaurant / the table where my family was sitting he approached me and asked why I entered the restaurant as he told me before to eat somewhere else. There was no reason to send guests of the hotel away whilst some guests were greeted with handshake etc. The restaurant wasn’t even full. Shocking!

Passage lighting that didn’t turn on in time. No English menus in restaurant. Music noise from fair right outside the hotel.

Bathtub/ Shower was too small. There was no screen or curtain, so the water went everywhere.

Perfect location right in front of the train station. Room is very nice and comfortable.
