Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

----- - the bed, at least mine, was shaky and hard to climb, ladder is a bit rough and the power outlet was above my head - there were only 2 toilets for 4 rooms, but I had no problems or waiting time - The price was a bit much for my pocket. For the price of one night I slept 4 in Italy and 3 in Hungary, as well as 3 in Hamburg. Other than that I think it's the best in town.
Just a step below perfect.. - location is top! first U2 to the airport starts at 04:45 - staff is great, and there for you 24/7 - you can buy water/beer at any time - rooms are Very spacious, almost had no contact with the rest in the room and thus wasn't smelly even with 8 people together - very clean and tidy, probably the most important thing for a hostel

Could be even cheaper. There is extra cost on arrival, like parking your car (14€ per night) and getting a towel (1.50€)
Clean, pretty quiet, Fairly cheap, Ok roommates, acceptable for one night.

I can't think of anything. The hostel itself is a wonderful oasis! The only thing that "could" be an issue is that "if" the hostel is full, maybe the bathrooms could be crowded? Otherwise I really like it here!
This is my second time at Five Reasons! It is a very very lovely space! Very clean, the bunks are with curtains & laptop/cell phone plugs -- there are lockers, room enough for my carry-on size rolly suitcase ... the rooms are spacious ... and the bathrooms are as clean as they can be (considering that many people could be staying at the hostel) Check-in was easy. An easy 10-minute walk from the train station & central in the city. An absolutely exceptional breakfast!!! A very lovely patio out the back, a really nice kitchen & dining area -- very modern -- and easy to meet people. 24-hour staff, a very very welcoming staff. I will most definitely stay there again -- it's a really nice place! PS A nice touch, they had a welcome note on my bed, I had asked for a bottom bunk!

The location was very nice. Near to the public transportation and at the same time very near to the sightseeing places of the Nuremberg. The lockers inside the room was very nice and huge to put your luggage there.

Wish there was a hair dryer in the bathroom.

Have bed fleas. Shower room doesn’t sperare the dry and wet part. When you take shower, you must be careful about your clothes.
Location at the door side of old town, close with trains station only 10mins walks. Kitchen have all equipment, good for cook. Dormitory is larger, you can open your suitcase. Each bed have own charger and curtain for the privacy. Also, have coin locker (use €1 for lock and get it back when open) Washroom is clean.

Actually only the price of 55€/night x3 nights for a shared 8 bed room, that is on the high side.
Great Location, very clean room and bath and good furniture. Met really nice people there.

Can be confusing to drive there if you’re first time in Nuremberg but luckily I am very familiar with the place.
There's an elevator! Private carpark. Plenty of space and each room was logically designed with enough facilities for normal daily life.

After my trip I had to sleep in my own bed again. I miss the soft, comfy duvet from the Hostel 😭
Just WOW! The dorm room is super spacious, super comfy bunk beds that even come with curtains for privacy, all facilities are super clean and incredibly modern. The receptionist were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect location, very close to the city center and the metro for airport, the bed was super comfy, locked spaces to put your stuff in the room and if you need before checking in. There is also a large common area and a non-stop bar. All very clean.
