Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff were very friendly, answered any questions we had. The atmosphere in the hostel very welcoming and relaxing, with pool, ping pong and good drinks.

I stayed at a private room and I was surprised of how big it was. Everything super clean and the bathroom was excellent. Everyone at the hostel were kind and helpful. It’s located pretty close to the center of Berlin and close to public transportation which works brilliant. Wifi works pretty good. Would be back without doubts.

There was a lot of high schoolers/youngster groups, and I didn't really get the hostel vibe.
A nice hostel on a very convenient location. Super nice staff with good music taste, ready to help out and to have a conversation with you. Solid vegetarian breakfast (with regular stuff as bread, cheese, jam, yogurt, cereal, but they also have some nice homemade spreads). The bathrooms were clean (especially the showers), and the rooms are average.

- Breakfast price was increased to 8 EUR from my first day. For this price, I would say that it might not be worth it. Even though I knew it was vegetarian, I at least hoped to find eggs, but those were not offered in the buffet. As for the rest, there was bread, cheese, cereals, milks, salad veggies and sauces. The food is also the same every day. - There can be loud music outside the window during the night - The curtains do not completely block the sunlight, so I would be woken up earlier than I wanted (- Not the hostel's fault, but I had roommates who would come back in the middle of the night and be super loud...)
- Pool table was nice even though I didn't have the chance to try it - There's a WC on the ground floor and it's surprisingly clean given it's public - Close to a few fancy bars and restaurants if that's what you like - About 20min to Berlin Hauptbahnhof by U-Bahn - Electronic lockers using room card - You can ask for a hair dryer at reception

The door to the shower room did not close by itself and people didn't close the door behind them.
The location is great, very close to a underground station.

All was good. Maybe some issues with Wi-Fi authorization. Lack of fan and air conditioner in room.
Very nice and friendly staff! Clean and spacious premises. All looks new and well maintained. Great healthy buffet-breakfast, served till late. A very high bunk bad. Nice patio. Next to the metro station, many restaurants and bars around the place.

Everything was great. Nothing to complaint about. there is a buffet breakfast that you can purchase, which is 7 eur and it very very rich.

No air conditioner at my share room. Breakfast without any meat (idk maybe I was eating too late and someone ate it).
Staff, location near center, cleanliness, hostel area is great, area around is full of great spots to eat. Try taco nearby. The higher cost of living weeds out uncultured people. All the people I met there were cool guys

I've never been in a Hostel in Germany so beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the hostel is very clean, even though the bathroom and shower are shared, everything is perfectly clean

The room doesn’t have ventilator or air conditioning and Berlin weather was hot.
Friendly staff, close to the subway station. Bed are very cozy and they have best shower I’ve seen before.

The only thing missing in this weather was some kind of cooling system, but you can live without it of course:)
The place was very nice, in a great spot, cool district in the city center. The staff was helpful and friendly, answered all the questions. The room was clean and spacious, nice view, with TV. The rain showers are also a great addition.

Only fault was that there was no kitchen but other then that everything was perfect

Very hot inside the room (summer)it helps if you use lighter blankets.
Very friendly staff, you can store your luggage for free after check out. Modern rooms and bathrooms. Nice outdoor area.

A great all-around hostel with all the amenities and things that you love to see in a well run and well thought out place. The staff was helpful and the location is fantastic in the charming Prenzlauer Berg district.

Everything was perfect, but me and my friend didn't end up in the same room like we hooped to.. when I was booking the room I clicked 2 beds in the same mixed bedroom but it ended up beeing some kind of missunderstanding.. Anyway..location is in a great area, beds are comfy and ambient is really nice!

Windows didn't open all the way and the room was very warm. A fan would have helped if for safety reasons the windows can't be opened completely.
Clean room and facility. Lovely staff. Super excellent location with access to public transport directly in front of the property.

The personnel were very kind and helpful and I really feel grateful that I was helped when I needed to lock my excessive luggage in a store room. They carried my heavy luggage into that room. My full respect! The room was super clean, it was very comfortable to sleep and I really heard nobody during the night! It was such a pleasant surprise for me :) Breakfast had a terrific choice of fruits, salads, cheese, and bread- much more than I actually expected!
