Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaOnly one English channel on the TV.we didn't have breakfast as it was €31 which is excessive.
The size of the room, the exceptionally comfortable bed, the free mini bar, the location (close to everything!!!), staff were lovely, no noise, good amenities. Honestly can't fault it.

PortugalThe staff was very helpful. They let us check in earlier and check out later. Which was great because I was travelling with my 2 years old. The location is very good near the train station, the cathedral, many restaurants, and shops. The free mini bar and coffee were a great bonus.

BelgiumThe breakfast and the on site parking is very expensive, as a result we used the parking at Quincy and breakfasted on a terrace nearby.
room was very comfortable and check in was very quick and straight forward. The location is fine. It is a short walk to the busier restaurants and mid way to the alterstadt too.

IrelandThe only things that come to mind are, that we weren't told that breakfast is served until 10:30 Monday to Friday, and we almost missed ours on Monday morning, and we we're sad the steamroom was out of order.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The staff was great, the bed was super comfortable, the breakfast abundant and delicious, the facilites excelent. I will definitively recommend.

Netherlands[-!!!-] A huge minus and probably a dealbreaker, was the door connecting to the adjacent room. If we would've known, we wouldn't have booked at this hotel. It's not mentioned anywhere on the website, nor shown/visible on any of the pictures. For a nation and people putting tremendous value on their privacy, safety, and noise/soundproofing comfort, it's unacceptable to have such connected rooms, especially for the medium to high rate per night! No guest wants to be disturbed by the guests next door. Overhearing loud conversations, obnoxious, inconsiderate laughing, TV noises, etc... I understand the use and purpose of such connected rooms (for friends and families travelling together and wanting easy access to each other's rooms,) and luckily the guest in the adjacent room only stayed one night, but this should be stipulated at check-in, instead of rushing through the procedure... In the end we probably should've asked for a room change. *not dealbreakers but worth mentioning [-] 31 EUR / person for breakfast is the highest rate we have ever encountered on our travels. Especially at a 4* hotel. Not to mention the restaurant was too small for the size of the hotel and the only available sitting places were at the bar. We opted out at such a high price, and chose the bakery/bistro some 10 minutes from the hotel, near the Dome, for less than 30 EUR for the both of us. [-] sliding bathroom door doesn't really provide privacy, nor do the window blinds covering the window between the bathroom and bedroom, on top of that the same blinds could be opened from the bedroom... again, poor choice when it comes to privacy [-] flushing the toilet required closing the lid, the buttons being directly behind it - also, due to the low elevation of the toilet tank the water pressure wasn't nearly enough to properly flush and toilet could get easily clogged...
[+] hotel located in a quiet neighborhood, away from the touristy places [+] spacious room with large, comfy bed [+] good size bathroom and shower, with overhead water stream [+] friendly staff [+] large ug parking [+] glass elevator providing a pleasant experience with nice views [+] The Dome at 10 minutes walking distance [!] great little Italian restaurant opposite the hotel entrance ("La Vita")

FranceA classic that does not disappoint. Lovely selection of beverages in the minibar, brilliant view on the city skyline, 10mn from the Central Station in a quiet neighbourhood. The fitness center is well appointed (3 treadmills) and the kitchen, although busy delivers a fine selection of classics. Old school chic does have a lot of merits!

AustraliaNothing major to report as a fault.
Clean rooms with a spacious layout. While the location is a little away from the centre of the city, I liked this more quiet neighbourhood away from the busy tourist areas. Staff were friendly and the gym had the basic equipment I needed for a workout.
